Arrived to check in around 7pm with a tour group of about 20 people, and the power cut while we were checking in. The receptionist didn't react as if she knew this happened all the time, then told us to use the elevator at our own risk because it may not work. We had elderly people and small children in our group, and people who were given rooms all the way up to level 5. Everyone had suitcases that we were told to carry up to our own rooms. No staff to help, no apologies, no service or compensation provided. It was truly the worst customer experience.

Then throughout the night, we had people who were given keys that opened into rooms already being used by other guests, and were only checked into a room at 10pm. There were rooms that didn't have any water or the air conditioning working all night, and the power kept cutting intermittently for everyone all night, not to mention the breakfast experience was also horrible with limited food and everything packaged in plastic.

Staff attitude was apathetic and rude, absolutely no service at all, even if it is a 3-star hotel.

Tldr: please do yourself a favour and don't bother staying here. For tour groups, please avoid coming here even if it's a good location or if it saves you money. It is not worth the hassle.

Old hotel with no charm. At least if old hotel well maintain is no problem. Hotel is old, airco is bad, breakfast is poor, the worst part is the staff receptionist. I was walking into the lobby with ice cream in hand (in cup) receptionist scream from across the desk Hey you can’t bring ice cream into this hotel!!!” I said excuse me, I’m a guest here and I paid to stay here for few nights. You can’t come in, eat your ice cream outside!! Srsly. Such inappropriate behaviour of staff probably never go to hotelier school. There literally no good point of this hotel

The location is exceptional. Opposite the square, close to great restaurants and set between the city shopping precinct and the old city.
The hotel is fitted out well. Our room was spacious. However the air conditioning did not work and being summer, this was an issue. We complained multiple times including in writing through Booking.com without any response. Breakfast was very lacking, probably the worst we’ve had in Italy although having a barista was nice. Overall, if the A/C was working and the breakfast was adequate, it would have been great.
