Where to stay in Scalea

I was here with the couple of friends for one week and it was really one of my best stays in italy. Great food, nice personal and wonderful sea and beach with many many services which made us unforgetable stay. I returned two days ago home and wanted to come back again immediately. THANK YOU parco dei principi and all od you staff!! I will come again as soon as I can ❤️

Fantastic hotel. Gio Ponti design, great sea view and teras, lovely park. Room was very clean. Service excellent. Special thanks to Luigi making my birthday unforgettable. Amar in bar, made us feel home on holiday and we had great discussions. And all the servicing staff on the breakfast. You do a great job. Pool was so nice. I was here with my familiy few days ago and I enjoed this hotel so much. Beach wasn't so far about 5 minutes. The animation were so good and before baby dance there was a junior club with Gabrielle where you can play football and others. Big YES for this place.

It was my first time in Italy. We were there 11 days with 2 children. The city Scalela and this hotel Parco dei principi are now my best, what can I met. All was beautifull, but not cheap. Absolutely amazing property. This was the last stop on our 5 week tour of southern Italy and Sicily, and a perfect way to end our trip. Our room was beautiful, super comfortable and well appointed, stepping right out onto the patio with infinity pool overlooking the ocean. Staff and owner Sergio were super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great with fresh cooked to order options. Thoroughly recommended

Absolutely stunning property with an infinity pool overlooking the ocean. The rooms were awesome. Super clean property. Sergio was an excellent host. Very friendly and attentive. The included breakfast was very good too. We would definitely go back when in the area.

A beautiful, well maintained property. We were the only guests on a night in mid May. The patio surrounds a sparkling pool and has loungers and seating. Unobstructed views of the bay. The room was well equipped and there was strong wi Fi throughout the property. Breakfast was fresh, more than ample and served at a table on the patio. Sergio, the manager was a delight. Parking was free and easy

The upstairs suite is in a shared area with the owner. The WiFi also doesn’t consistently reach. This can feel as though you are intruding so it may be more comfortable to book a regular room.

We were happy with our stay. The nice location and the view were beyond expectations. Nicer view than on the website. The staff were nice and helpful. The pool was a big plus for our children. The rooms are clean, but not particularly modern. On the other hand, we had expected that, otherwise the accommodation would probably have been significantly more expensive. Clean and tidy hotel located, literally, a few meters from a beautiful pebble beach. The decoration of the hotel is a bit old-fashioned and the choice of food is not at an enviable level. Nice location , wonderful view. A real restaurant is missing, even though is possible to eat on the connected restaurant on the beach. The breakfast is not as good at it should be: small misunderstanding with the waitress that shouldn't happen in a 4 stars. A paradise for those who want to relax. The pool overlooking the sea is surrounded by plants and flowers, which give it pleasant colors and convey a feeling of peace. The rooms are basic, we stayed in a superior sea view room, but I think they all feel like outdated furniture. Excellent breakfast and very pleasant and attentive staff. Beach and private beach are the strengths of the services offered

Great value, clean rooms and ideal location with sea views. Dated decor and a lack of a bar menu but offers a delicious breakfast including a fresh cornetto, cakes, bread and cheese and meat.

Riviera de lux room. The room is small. For 2 people with luggage for a long stay, I suppose, impossibly small. For 1 person is more or less suitable. Hotel is clean. Quality of food matches 3***. Once a week hotel offers a special menu. Private beach is very clean. Big balcony. Staff is very polite. In general service is very good. Hotel is situated near the city center.

The pizza is good, considering that we are in Calabria and not in NAPLES, it will be for the Neapolitan pizza maker, but I found it among the best in the area, the only flaw is the service, I think they are not used to working with a lot of demand especially so in August the orders came out very late

Stayed here for 1 night in a Junior Suite, 1 bedroom (sea facing) while travelling from Tropea to Positano. Hotel is located on 2 sides of the main road and drove by it coming in as signage was a bit poor. Check in was ok. Staff who spoke English wore a name tag with the English flag noted on it. Room was a bit dirty on arrival and 2nd bed for my son was not set up. Room was over-looking the pool area...

We stay in modern part which is closer to the beach, rooms are ok however very small.. If you dont pay extra, you get the view to the busy steeet. Double bed for small children not the best option and there is nothing else to choose from. What is really wierd, requirement to swim in swimming caps at the outdoor pools…. Food is good, especially pasta :) Service very friendly.

The general spaces of the hotel desperately need modernization, but the "resort" part is nice after reconstruction. Avoid the village part though. Food is great, Beach and sea are great. Employees speak very little english.

The hotel is very conveniently located: close to the old town and the beach, and a five-minute walk from a large supermarket. The train station is a 20-minute walk away. Although the common areas of the hotel need renovation, my room was clean, spacious, and well-equipped. I felt very comfortable.

Hotel Scalea is a welcoming structure, located a few meters from the center. Thanks to its position it is possible to reach any place in no time. Very nice and helpful staff, as it was possible to postpone the holiday without any problem. Recommended place!

Friendly and hospitable staff, but I would especially like to praise their availability. Despite having booked on a wrong night, they still accommodated us without charging us penalties or other additional costs. They also suggested great places to eat with a connected discount. In short .. Recommended.

Small hotel, nice rooms, everything you need. Central to the old Town and beach, restaurants, bars, everything in walking distance.
