We searched for and found some good bread (the likes of which are almost unavailable in Catania anymore), cured meats, cheeses, and cardoncelli mushrooms, better known as funghi di ferla. Franco and his family are wonderful hosts. The setting is beautiful, the rooms were spacious, and the ristorante truly served some of the best food of our three years living in Europe. Very good hotel near to the Etna north face. Hello, our best hotel in Sicily (on a total of four) the only black point was the secondary sofa bed the spring bed was really uncomfortable. A small hotel on Mt Etna. Two brothers manage the family property and they are both great. The chef (Mateo) serves up delicious dinners. You should know that it is an hour or so from any village. It is about 25 minutes from the main area at the top of Etna and close to amazing country (Etna’s slopes are like nothing I have ever seen). So a wonderful little hotel. Highly recommend it.

Very clean, quiet, and comfortable B&B. The owner (Nunzio) and his father are very nice, helpful, and accommodating. There is parking on the street right in front of the building, and fast wifi. B&B is also within walking distance of supermarkets, restaurants, and other stores if you're on foot. Excellent location and value.

The guesthouse is very comfortable, and the family that runs this B&B is very nice. Nunzio, the son, used Google Translate to communicate with me and helped me get to the train station, find train routes and order transfers. For this I am very thankful. It was nice and homey to sit outside and have breakfast. When staying at this location it is best to have a car.

The accommodation is sited uphill from the main establishment (500m above sea level) and has in front of it a lap pool ranging from ankle-deep to 2m, there is a ramp enabling less able clients to access the pool easily. There are Spacious rooms, it would be good for families. A nice pool area, but it was very noisy so don’t take a room near the pool if you want quiet time. The hotel is a 5 minute walk to beach. Overall this hotel is quite nice. I came with the school on a trip and we stayed here overnight. The food isn't the best, in fact one of my roommates vomited during the night. The rooms are very large, and the whole thing looks like one. The palm trees, the heat and the swimming pool give liveliness to the place and make it as if we were in Hawaii. Comfortable bed. Clean apartment. For check-in you need to go, to Tabaco shop next to apartment entrance. Room is a little bit loudy- in the night we heard nosies from a street, but it wasn't disturbing us a lot. For breakfast basic products, but it was enough for us, good coffee.

Absolutely loved our stay here! The Castello San Marco really is charming! The property is beautiful, the room was extremely spacious and comfortable, the breakfast was fantastic, and we can't say enough about how lovely the staff was! Alexandra and Flavia were so wonderful and helpful with everything we asked for. We would stay there again any time!

Wonderful stay Absolutely charming - the perfect combination of modern resort amenities with old world ambience and sophistication. Only thing I would change is the menu at the restaurant. Would have ate there every night if the food wasn’t all so gourmet. Instead had to find other places in town for something more casual and traditional

Comfortable hotel though needs updating Our room was very dated and dark windows were dirty and no internet connection in room. Feel the hotel could do with updating and disappointing not to have daily water in room. My wife’s Amberjack fish was overcooked and inedible there was no offer of a reduction in the total cost. Easily the top highlight of our sicily trip. Besides the magnificent site and beach nearby, big thanks to the hotel and restaurant team for making our stay and couple anniversary extra special! We enjoyed every minute of it. Will definitely come back next time we visit sicily!!
