Hotel Scrivano in Randazzo

We arrived at the hotel on a day of torrential rain, catching us on a motorbike transfer, completely soaked and without a room booked. Mrs. Nunzia and her staff welcomed us with incredible warmth and kindness, allowing us to dry off and change. A simple gesture, but one that was invaluable to us: they immediately made us feel at home, protected, and pampered. We couldn't think of a better way to thank them than by writing these lines, because people like them truly deserve to be known. Heartfelt thanks to Mrs. Nunzia and her staff!

Today, continuing our personal project of wandering through Sicilian towns and villages, my dear and close friend Giuseppe Giuffrida and I went to Randazzo. We searched for and found some good bread (the likes of which are almost unavailable in Catania anymore), cured meats, cheeses, and cardoncelli mushrooms, better known as funghi di ferla. Then—and here's the best part—we went to the Scrivano restaurant, located in the hotel of the same name, next to Randazzo's main square. What a delight and what a treat! I'll briefly describe our lunch, which I invite you to try again: mushroom soup (the best you can get); various appetizers, including Scrivano's legendary caponata; pappardelle with black pork ragù and cardoncelli mushrooms. A true delight, washed down with wine from the Etna cellars. We skipped a second course because we were full and satisfied. Do you know the sweet and comforting feeling of leaving the table with a happy thought in mind and a sense of peace with the world? Well, yes, we felt exactly that way when we left! Kudos to Scrivano and his entourage.

Hospitality - Wonderful overnight stay and lunch. I'd also add that Chef Pippo is a unique, Michelin-starred chef. I'll definitely be back soon because his dishes are irresistible. The town is also well-organized and clean. Parking is well-served.

Staying at Hotel Scrivano in Randazzo felt like being welcomed into a family home rather than just another hotel. The team there were so kind and accommodating, always ready with a smile. The rooms were comfy and spotless, cleaned daily. If you are looking for a place where you’re treated like family, do consider Hotel Scrivano.

We stayed over a week early July 2022. After a room mixup, everything became home. We had one breakfast and one dinner, and other mornings the presentation was “meh “.
The staff is outstanding and ultra help and cooperative.
We left with the room keys which I will gladly mail back from the mid Hudson Valley here in NY state.
The hotel isn’t flashy or glitzy or pretentious. I cannot compare Scrivano with more than 2 other hotels, but you stay and leave feeling grateful and cared for.

I thought to stay here only 3 nights, but it turned out to be 6 nights for its perfect location, easy parking, family restaurant and comfortable atmosphere. It's a family run hotel and restaurant and they all remember how you like your coffee in the morning or what you took as dinner last night. Now it's august, but during the night I open the window which is better than air conditioning, though there are also in the room. The fact that the gas station is right in front can be a plus or disadvantage depending on different points of view. I find it convenient.

The best hotel gou could ever get at randazzo . Central clean and the hosts are so nice and helpful . Clean room with tv clean bathroom. . Been here 3 times and i will be here for sure . Thanks very much for your kindness and welcome

Staying for one night only. Friendly reception and restaurant waiter. Good food/wine. Dont be put off by the exterior. Rooms are clean and comfortable bed.
