We only stayed 3 nights but wish we had booked longer. We had our 3 boys and 2 rooms was heaps of space. Very welcoming, ideal location and amazing food. Also very cool private hot pools for after a day on the mountain. Highly recommended.

Momiji was amazing. Julian and Tomoko were the perfect hosts. We went during “green” season and the surroundings are serene. Tomoko is an amazing chef, we had the most delightful Japanese meals. Pension Kobekko was a great spot to stay for checking out all the ski hills in Hakuba valley. It’s a quiet location 1km from the base of Tsuigaike ski resort. There is a shuttle that from the pension to the base of the ski hill and from there you can catch the V2 shuttle bus to all the ski hills in the area for 1000 yen per person cash or 800 yen if you buy tickets online. Wonderful place to stay with excellent food and hosts!

The price is great, and there's a communal kitchen. The room isn't cramped, and it's super close to the Happo-One Ski Resort gondola—just across a parking lot. It's a shame that most of the restaurants nearby were closed when I came in early April. Otherwise, I'd highly recommend it!

The hotel is very close to the Tsugaike Kogen ski gondola, which is super convenient. The place is clean and has a very homey vibe. I really loved it. Since I came at the end of ski season, it was very quiet with not many people around, which made it even more relaxing. everything was super fuss-free, from check in to check out. the staff are super friendly and it’s super convenient to get to tsugaike. only gripe is the room can be a little cold on chilly nights.

The lobby and rooms are relatively new, and the clientele is mostly from Europe and America. The rooms do not provide slippers, toothbrushes, or other toiletries.

Great! I took the bus from Nagano to Umiike Station, and the hotel is right next door, about 30 meters away. It's super close and convenient, and the breakfast is incredibly rich!
