This is a quiet, clean, and welcoming spot to stay if you are planning a ski trip to the Hacuba area. We were so impressed with the hospitality of the landlady and all of the staff, including the shuttle driver who went above and beyond to help us with our luggage forwarding. The pension was so clean, and the amenities were a bonus. Our room had a shower but there is a private bath in the pension that you can book out which is so nice and relaxing. There is a communal room with massage chairs which is great after a day of skiing. The pension is in a great location- just out of town so nice and quiet, but only a 10 minute walk from Tsugaike so easy to access restaurants and bars in the evening. There is also a free shuttle which takes you to Tsugaike. You can either ski there (fun hill with a great apres) or easily catch the bus from there to other resorts. I would highly recommend this pension

Pension Kobekko was a great spot to stay for checking out all the ski hills in Hakuba valley. It’s a quiet location 1km from the base of Tsuigaike ski resort. There is a shuttle that from the pension to the base of the ski hill and from there you can catch the V2 shuttle bus to all the ski hills in the area for 1000 yen per person cash or 800 yen if you buy tickets online.

The owners were so kind, hospitable and very helpful with information about the area and how to get around. Lady Manmaru always greeted us with a warm “Welcome home” every time we came back to the pension.

There are two large Japanese baths that you can book a 45 minute time slot for per room. They felt luxurious and relaxing.

I will definitely be booking another stay at Pension Kobekko when we return to Hakuba Valley!

The pension is placed quietly at 5 min drive from the Tsugaike ski resort. They offer a shuttle that can take you there morning and evening. Amenities are more than enough with hot bath, a big kids play room, a common room for relaxing and reading.
The staff is friendly, always helpful and was wonderful with our two year-old. And last but not least the evening meals were fantastic with a Chinese refined taste. A must go.

Perfect stay at this lovely and homey hotel near the Ski resort. Service was excellent and the staff were very helpful. They accommodated our requests and arranged for shuttle service to and from the nearby village. The Japanese bath at the hotel was a plus!

Very close to Tsugaike Gondola and Ropeway. Found this lovely inn while looking for somewhere to stay as we planned on hiking the alps. Landlady Manmaru is definitely a highlight of our stay, her kindness, humour, and care was a warm welcome. All staff were very kind as well. The food was delicious and the baths were very nice and well kept.

I found the beds to be very comfortable and the ac/heating in the room worked perfectly. We were able to use the laundry machine onsite and enjoy our meals without leaving the inn. They also had parking available for free which was a perk and landlady lent us bear bells for when we went out.

I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in Hakuba!

Wonderful place to stay with excellent food and hosts!

It is located near Tsugaike. The parking lot is difficult to understand, so it is better to ask when you arrive at the inn and confirm the location. The pension itself is a good lodging. The room is spacious and has a private toilet, but there is also a shared space. The facility has a large public bath, although it is small, and you can write the room number on the board in front of the bathroom according to the time system, and you can use it completely for the entire time. There are two, and which one to use depends on the number of people. All-you-can-drink coffee and tea. There are various amenities, and there are face masks, so I'm happy for women. It was a plan with dinner and breakfast, but it was insanely good. The lighting outside was beautiful and the atmosphere was great.

A medium-sized venture in Otari Village.
There is a unit bath in the room, but there is also a separate bathhouse, so you can use it.
There is also a toilet in the corridor.
It has been completely renovated, and both the interior and the hall are clean.
Wi-Fi is flying.

Loppy? Drinks and sweets are placed in front of the front desk, and you can have them on your own.
1000 manga books? There are so many, so I'm not satisfied in a sense.

There is no refrigerator in the room, but there is a shared stocker in the hallway. (The one shining in the middle of the photo in the corridor)
Management is at your own risk.

There is a smoking area in the back of the guest room corridor.
There is a blower (big fan) in the center of the corridor, so it is recommended to point it at the smoking area.

Since it is originally a cool place, there is no air conditioning, but a fan is enough ✨

rice. The owner chef is a Chinese cook. I am Japanese.
Before I stayed, I didn't expect much from "Chinese food ...", but I was greatly disappointed.

It ’s really delicious.

The customer service of the owner and the couple is also very good.

Do you want to stay again? When asked.
Definitely answer yes.

The other day, I stayed for the first time in 2 years (?).
It was my first time after the remodeling, so I was surprised at how beautiful it was.
It was my first time to have a room with a unit bath at Hakuba's pension, so I was happy.
I think it's good not to meet other people in the bathroom or bath at the moment of Corona.

The customer service was the best as usual.
After all, the pension is a place that feels at home different from the hotel.

Thank you for responding to unreasonable requests even after check-out.

I would like to use it when I go to Hakuba again.
