The first room they provided for me the window was unable to open due out of order. Room feel too hot and the aircond is maintained by central system, I ask the counter they change the room for me. Service are excellent! As a foreigner I definitely recommend to stay here and appreciate their kindness.

It's a little narrow! The facilities are a little old, but the front desk staff was friendly. I highly recommend it for solo travelers! The location is about a 10-minute walk from the bus station~

The rooms in the main building were a bit dated, and the value for money wasn't great on weekends. However, the quality of both breakfast and dinner was quite good. They also offered a dedicated shuttle service to the bus station. The hot spring was just average.

This was the most stunning place we stayed during our 12-day trip, a true secluded gem nestled deep in the mountains. Upon arrival at the parking lot, we noted there were only a handful of cars, perhaps ten at most. A dedicated staff member was immediately on hand to assist with our luggage. The attention to detail was evident even in the lobby, where staff were seen meticulously cleaning luggage wheels...

The room was absolutely fantastic, offering stunning views from the window. Despite the hotel's opening year being listed as 1998, the interior decor and facilities didn't feel dated at all. It clearly underwent a recent renovation in the past few years, giving it the impression of a brand new hotel. However, there were some water stains around the toilet in the bathroom.

Everything was excellent – the dining, the rooms, and the exquisite decor. I particularly enjoyed soaking in the hot spring while surrounded by lush greenery. The only minor drawback was a recurring noise at night in the room; I couldn't tell if it was the air conditioning or water pipes.

It is even better to experience it in person than the photos provided by the ryokan... There is a reason for its high ratings. If you happen to visit Kyushu or want to enjoy a ryokan, I highly recommend stopping by at least once.

I went there for my birthday and had such a wonderful time. The staff was so friendly. I'd love to go again. I'd love to go with my family next time.

The breakfast and dinner were of really high quality. The private hot spring was also really good. I think it would have been even better if the temperature of the private bath had been a little lower.

I visited again this year after last year, and it is truly the best place to relax.

City pickup service provided. Very satisfying Kaiseki meal provided. Affordable room service prices. Thanks to the best hot spring experience and friendly service, I want to keep coming back to Hita.

This traditional Japanese hotel is so beautiful, with exquisite details everywhere. I even saw a hearth! The food here is delicious. The light rain was perfect for taking photos! There are many rabbit patterns here; look carefully.

For my room type you can see photos here on Trip for what are actually two types of room, one being newer and on the 2nd floor. Front desk aimed to please as they initially assigned me a fourth floor room but some minutes gave me a brighter 2nd floor room with its own A/C. Breakfast was just from 8 to 9 when I was there. The WiFi was not great, apparently dropping out from time to time.

Just needed a simple overnight stay to visit the Attack on titan museums and locations. Hotel was to everything. Supermarket, station, bus terminal, rental car shop was all in close walking distance. Accidentally booked the smoking room so there was a smell. I'd imagine the non smoking rooms to be much more comfortable on the nose.

It was very helpful to be able to park my large motorcycle in a place where it wouldn't get wet in the rain. The staff were kind and I would like to use this facility again.

At first, I booked a non-smoking room, but when I went in, there was a strong smell of cigarettes. I went down to the counter and told them that I had booked a smoking room, so they gave me a smoking room. They changed my room right away because I said I wanted a non-smoking room. The room was small, but I stayed for one night without any major problems.

We didn’t realize that you had come to pick us up at the station, and we spent some time taking photos there, so you had to wait for us longer than expected. We’re very sorry about that. Very nice traditional Hotel. I had the luck to have the private pool for me the whole day and Mao is a really cool host! It was really nice to meet him. I am very satisfied. I really liked the breakfast, the private bath, and the room. It is quiet and cozy.

It's located close to the Hita Bus Terminal and station. Having always stayed in smaller hotels, sleeping in a spacious tatami room was incredibly comfortable. The staff were all friendly, and the small hot spring bath was free to use 24 hours a day.
