Hotels with pool in Yakushima

After not being avle to get a taxi the Vice Manager of the hotel drove me in his personal vehicle and waited 45 minutes when the Dr came out. The hotel was also very clean and food was always incredible

Onsen gift shop staff service overall. Spacious rooms great view!!

The outdoor bath is small with the dinner menu too expensive compared to local restaurant but I would still recommend and come back to this hotel

My friend stayed in an ocean view room and I stayed in a mountain view room, but personally I recommend the mountain view room because it has a great view of the majestic mountains of Yakushima

Incredible all around Our stay was amazing from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. A spectacular week of beautiful views of ocean and mountains, along with a pool and firepit set amongst it all

The sauna by the pool is definitely worth trying, but reservations are recommended

! I climbed Yakusugi in the middle of the day, but he gave me freshly baked bread at 5 am because I couldn't eat in the morning. The bread is excellent! !! The food was delicious enough to receive a Michelin rating

I had a wonderful stay at Sadakata Hotel in Yakushima. The staff were exceptionally kind and went out of their way to help me when my flight was delayed, even arranging an airport pickup despite the schedule change

This is the best hotel on Yakushima Island, with excellent service. Electric bicycles are available for rental, allowing you to explore the nearby waterfalls and countryside, which are beautiful

Sankara Hotel is in an excellent location, overlooking the sea and mountains. The rooms are well-equipped and spacious. The service staff is very friendly and solves problems in a timely manner

Location was great, the infrequent bus service, if you opt for public transport, drops you near the port if you arrived via domestic flight, or it will take you approx 5-10 minutes to get to the hotel if you travel by ship from Kagoshima

The onsite restaurant boasts a very good buffet breakfast and an extensive dinner menu. I would like to highlight the ladies at the frontdesk, their genuine hospitality and guidance about travel tips, bus schedule, etc

For hikers who rely on public transport, there is a bus that runs 4 times a day from the nearby port to Shiratari Unsuikyo. The hotel offers rental gear and you can order lunch boxes for the hike as well

There are plenty of parking spaces. We booked a new annex with breakfast and dinner. The balcony faces the beach of Oni no Washboard. The surprise was the dinner for both nights

The stairs are narrow and difficult to navigate with large luggage. The rooms are either wooden floored or tatami mats, you sleep on a futon. There's a large shower room with towels and toiletries provided

The pay-to-use shoe drying device in the laundry room was extremely useful for drying my wet shoes. I also liked that you aren't restricted to 1 towel for your entire stay like some other hostels

Great budget accomodation in Miyanoura! The staff/worker downstairs in the shop is super friendly, helped me break down my larger bills into smaller ones multiple times, and enthusiastically greeted me every time I saw him

The boss has several B&Bs with similar locations but different types. The one I booked this time is a fairly new one. It has clean and good sanitary facilities and I saw many Western guests staying there

I thought it would be somewhat uncomfortable because it was a guesthouse, but it was a newly renovated building, so it was very clean, and the travelers were well-mannered, so I felt good during my stay

The room was quite spacious and clean, and very affordable. Although, you'd want to bring ear plugs or noise cancelling headphones, as the soundproofing is quite poor/walls are quite thin

I initially wanted to hike the Jomon Sugi trail, but with limited time and insufficient preparation, it wasn't possible. However, Kentaro was so very helpful in suggesting an alternative trekking itinerary

Although the breakfast should be served at 7am onwards, after we said our high speed boat would depart at 7am, they said they could have it prepared for us earlier, which was very heart warming

An authentic onsen, at least it felt authentic to me, being no expert of Japanese culture. Traditional rooms, make sure to book one with the bath in the room. It’s not a fancy place, but really enjoyable
