Guesthouse & Kitchen Hace in Iwaki

Friendly staff, easy going hostel, and an easy 12 minute walk from the train station. There's a Lawson's a stone's throw away and local onsen across the road.

Several rooms all share shower, washing and bathroom facilities (the upstairs loo was a squeeze especially if you need to go in the middle of the night). The kitchen was well equipped and although the communal table was small, the upstairs common area had a friendly vibe. Downstairs, there is a bar that serves food.

The Japanese style breakfast was a highlight. Most days we had an onsen egg, salad, main dish (fish or tofu), rice and miso soup - a perfect start to the day.

Lunch is available on Wednesdays and weekends. Dinner is available every night. I've posted a photo of the dinner menu QR code.

Staff were all incredibly kind and Hace was a very responsive host.

If you're a backpacker, this is a very luxurious experience. The rooms are mostly filled with the bed but there are hooks and the power points in convenient locations.

It was a reasonably priced stay.
There are also rooms exclusively for women. There's a hot spring diagonally across the street, and the water was piping hot! ♨️
We had dinner in the dining room on the first floor. It was fun chatting with the owner.

Great access, a convenience store next door, a bathhouse diagonally across the street, and a super comfortable bed! It was fantastic!

A great place to stay for this price.

I was here on a motorcycle trip, but I'd definitely come with my family too!
I'll definitely come again!

A guesthouse in Yumoto, Iwaki.
It is a very nice inn where you can feel the commitment and sense of the owner who self-renovated an old folk house.
Is this an izakaya? Come and enjoy high quality food and a wide variety of sake.

Orders can be placed by reading the QR code, and payment is modern, with cashless payment only.

I used it on October 18th, and the inside of the store had a cute Halloween mood.
You can also enjoy interacting with the locals at the bar counter, so it's perfect for traveling alone.

There is a shower, but there are many hot springs within walking distance.

All the rice I had in the lounge on the 1st floor was delicious.
