Hotel Onahama Hills in Iwaki

I stayed here at the beginning of 2026.
The building itself is old and the walls are thin, so be careful of noise.
There is a bath on the first floor, but it is not very large and there is a limit on the number of people allowed in. Look for the magnet at the entrance to make your decision.
There are only a few parking spaces in front of the hotel.
I was directed to a parking lot a little further away.
The receptionist will explain this to you.

As it was New Year's, they provided ozoni and mochi for breakfast. This is an inn with great service.

On my way home from a long journey, I walked through places with rather stylish names like Toranomon Hills and Azabudai Hills.
Looking for a place to sleep, I chose a hotel based solely on these criteria.
Breakfast included, free parking - that was all I needed.

After confirming my reservation, I happened to look at the name.
"Hotel Onahama Hills."
The last stop on my Hills tour was, to my surprise, "Hills."
As someone returning to the countryside from the city, it felt quite right.

The building is old.
It's probably not for people who like to pay attention to the details.
But laundry, detergent, and breakfast are all free.
For someone on a long trip or for work, it's incredibly practical.

What impressed me most was the presence of people.
The staff's hospitality, the carefully prepared breakfast,
and their "try whatever you can" attitude were evident throughout the hotel.

This is a hotel built not on newness or luxury, but on care and heart. I naturally feel a fondness for places like that.

--Nothing flashy needed.
It was enough to be able to stay the night, rest, and then get going again.
For such a traveler, this was the perfect inn.

The breakfast buffet was delicious.
There was a great deal on a package that included tickets to Aquamarine Fukushima (there was also a Hawaiian Gardens package).
During bath time, we could relax in a nearby affiliated hotel and even use the massage chairs.
Free coffee and candy, and the ability to freely read manga, were perfect for the evening.
I would like to stay here again.

The breakfast menu was good.

This was my first time using the service, but the rooms were clean and there were plenty of parking spaces, which was very helpful.
I would like to use the service again if I have the opportunity.
