The location is, of course, fantastic — right near Lenin Peak. The yurts are well equipped, with underfloor heating and private bathrooms.
Unfortunately, the food service is very poor: just 45 minutes after each mealtime starts, the dining hall is already completely overcrowded and there’s barely any food left. Even basics like cups, glasses, and cutlery are constantly in short supply.
That may partly be due to the fact that many of the mountaineers staying there behave like wild animals. Still, the service team is clearly overwhelmed, which makes the catering a major downside.
But the staff is really welcoming. 🙏🏻
In the evenings, there is a small bar offering alcoholic drinks.
