Camping Vaivari Jūrmala

Good location, next to ocean and beach. But very out dated, showers and toilets needs renovation badly.

Loudy and expencive, it's not what I expected. Playground is dangerous. Kichen devices are old and not working propertly. Place screeming for freching. Cottage is cold in summer. Good side are sea is close enougt and personal is friendly.

We did visit with caravan at this place. I really cannot recommend it. Dont trust pictures in internet, these are propably min. 20 years old. No cleaning, buildings really bad condition. People were drinking whole night. Not place for childrens.

Smell of piss and cigarette butts all over the grass. Worn down and dirty facilities and cabins . Toilets and kitchen are disgusting and smelly. Staff laughs at you when telling them about dirty bathrooms. Price is also higher than what the website say.

I didn't expect it to be this bad. First and foremost, camping has no control for noise in sleep time. Secondly, there are many stink bugs in the area, what is really disgusting! What is more, the site is far away from the Jurmala center (~10km). This camping is overpriced and badly needs a renovation - seems like everything is stopped in time. If you want to travel to the past with a time machine - enjoy then.

From all the money they get, at least they could renovate toilets and showers. Two years ago the woman toilet didn’t have a lock, this year - man’s toilet. And very very nasty:( Still planty of space so you get enough privacy and just few hundred meters from the very clean beach.

I did not expected much, but.. I don't see much positives. No restaurant, children area in a bad shape, high uncutted grass around, also with garbage around. Cottages very old without sign of any recent works (like from outside it looks 30 years old and untouched). We reserved family cottage, but still even such cottages are divided into two, so your neighbour's are just behind wooden wall and you hear everything.. During night, many loud neighbour's (Friday night?) drinking outside. No drinkable water anywhere in the camp! Kitchen was quite OK, with kettles, cooker and fridges. In general this camp doesn't offer much, only nearby beach, but the water there was orange and it's deep only after like walking 100m with water to the knees.

The camping area has been popular about 15 y ago. But not any more. Time has stopped in this camping area.

Maybe for 15 yers ago it was a good place.
