We stayed at this hotel for three days — overall, a solid experience.

The strong points:
• The staff is friendly and professional.
• The hotel is surrounded by forest, offering a great way to disconnect from the outside world.
• The large parking lot is convenient, and access is fairly easy despite the location.
• The pool is perfect for a short workout or to relax after the sauna.
• We didn’t get to try the gym, but…
• The breakfast has good value for money.
• The restaurant serves quality food, with real flavor — this is clearly above average, not your typical low-end eethuis.
We had a main course, dessert, and drinks for two, around €65. Slightly pricey without a starter, but still acceptable.

Room (Luxury Room):
• The room is clean and spacious, with a nice balcony option.
• Furniture feels a bit dated — let’s say, a “luxury of a few years ago” kind of style.
• The TV is not a Smart TV, so no way to cast YouTube or Netflix, which is a bit of a shame in 2025.
• The heating is a classic radiator, no thermostat control — and it did feel a little chilly at night.

In short:
It’s not a perfect hotel — but it’s definitely not a bad choice either.
For a short stay, whether business or leisure, it’s a good option — as long as you’re not expecting ultra-modern features

The hotel's location is perfect, but the service leaves much to be desired. They don't respect the "Do Not Disturb" sign. The internet connection is bad, so it's impossible to work in the hotel. The room was okay, clean. The restaurant is a rip-off! The worst part of our stay! The portions are tiny, and the waiters provide terrible service! I don't speak Dutch, and when I was trying to place my order, the waiter spoke to me rudely, not to mention he didn't offer us anything to drink! I had to call another waiter to please take our drink order. Dinner was a disaster! It's not just the portions that are tiny, but I've never eaten salmon with so many bones! It's a dish I've eaten in different restaurants and that I cook at home, and it never has bones! For a dish they charge as gourmet, I expected a better standard. The same goes for the dessert! It looked like finger food! It's not worth spending a penny in the restaurant. My stay left me very sad; we are friends of Fletcher... we stay at the hotel chain every year and this time it left a bitter taste in our mouths.

when you ask a guest whether he wants a single bed or a large double bed then at least follow the preference. Unfortunately they didn’t but what was worse was that the room was outdated and dirty check the pictures of the enormous and horrendous stain in the carpet. Besides that it was cold, and the old radiators which were turned off did not hit the room sufficiently. In short, not the experience I had been hoping for and certainly not a stimulation to come back to Fletcher Hotels.

Update 31st of december 2025:
After my review, Fletcher Hotel Sparrenhorst contacted me with an apology and followed up in a professional and constructive manner. A voucher for a free stay was offered.

Update 31st of January 2026:
Despite 2(!) promises, the voucher never came. I reckon the service is as good as the rooms - terrible.

Honestly, this was a bit of a let down. When we walked into the room, we were hit with the smell of wet dog. Then the two twin beds pushed together made snuggling impossible - you either lay 1m apart, or you risk falling down the crack. Everything about the room and the hotel was outdated. The lift sounded like the cables were going to snap at any given moment. And the breakfast was kinda average. They didn't restock the tea or coffee cups, and the bacon was those teeny tiny off-cuts rather than actual strips of bacon.

For the price mostly everything can be overlooked, but the dog smell and those horrible beds will have me never choose this hotel again.

The room was very dirty
Big stains on the carpet and a weird smell
The cleaving service literally did nothing for the three nights we stayed there even after asking for cleaning
They didn't even make the bed, unseen for a 4 stars hotel
The insulation is bad so even we maximum heating it's not as warm as we would have liked.
The sound insulation on the other had is one of the worst i have ever seen
We could hear everything that was happening in the corridor from the room and even the rooms next to us
The sauna is ok but the swimming pool is quite cold wich was surprising to us for winter
We did another 4 stars fletcher hotel right after this one and the experience was much much better so this is definitely not normal
