Hotel de Leijhof Oisterwijk in Oisterwijk

Lovely hotel, very comfortable rooms with good breakfast service and offerings. However, we ate in the restaurant in the evening. The food was well prepared and presented unfortunately the front of house service was appalling and I felt really let the chef and the establishment down. Staff were innatentive to the point of being extremely rude unless of couse you were a local and a regular. Had it not been for this I would have given 5*. The girls on breakfast service were great and could teach the main restaurant staff a thing or two!

Beautiful hotel in modern style. Be attended on the very early checkout. It is at 10am, but you can pay extra €30 and stay in your room until 1pm if you like.

What a spectacular hotel. Personable staff, interesting and quirkily fitted out, it was comfortable, quiet and a beautiful place to stay. The restaurant is particularly brilliant. The Amazonian-like atmosphere is so attractive and a beautiful place.

We had a nice welcome from the reception manager who gave us a quick tour to restaurant and bar and arranged for our dinner table. The hotel is located in the midst of a garden in a nice residential area and at walkable distance from lovely downtown. Lobby, restaurant, the bar (regrettably only open for private events) and the corridors are absolutely stylish... Our deluxe room no. 210 was neat and ok for one night but a bit sober compared to the communal areas. An artificial orchid, a "view" onto the black wall of an adjacent building, a small bathroom which looked nice but regrettably lacked a functional concept: small hand basin, no room for my own toiletries, inadequate lighting for applying makeup, no magnifying mirror and an open rain shower cabin that caused a "deluge"... This plus hard towels, no tissues and a very simple hair dryer actually added up to a loss of two points. By contrast, dinner at the George restaurant was EXCELLENT. The staff was friendly and attentive, food presentation was flawless and all courses were delicious. The breakfast buffet was nice and varied with dishes made to order and coffee served on the table. The positive food experience raised my rating back to four points. Despite my critical assessment of room 210 I consider the Leijhof a very pleasant hotel. But for a longer stay I would definitely book one of their suites which assumedly match the elegant style of the house...

Beautifully decorated. Excellent breakfast and dinner services from the on premise restaurant. Extremely good noise isolation, we didn't hear a single sound throughout our stay despite the hotel being fully booked and there was a full blown wedding party going on downstairs one evening.
