The Nox Utrecht in Utrecht

Great experience, friendly and professional staff, beautiful design. We stayed in the small double room which is compact but lovely. The venue doens't have a proper public area, but has a prime location in Utrecht's historical center and has all the comfort of a boutique hotel with competitive prices. Definitely recommended.

A sexy quiet corner in the heart of Utrecht. I loved the design of this hotel and the location is absolutely unbeatable. For the price point, I was very happy with my stay. I stayed in the half moon room, which was beautifully decorated in dark motifs.

The toilet is on the opposite side of the sink and shower, which I found inconvenient, and in the half moon room there was only a small shower stall. The shower stall, while quite nice with an overhead rainfall, was quite small and poorly drained.

It was not clearly communicated to me whether or when the cleaners would be coming, so I was surprised when I came back to rest at 2pm and found them cleaning my room! Morning service or a conversation about timing the service would have been much better.

The heat went out my final night, and I was offered to receive a half refund for the night and stay or a full refund and find myself another room elsewhere. Luckily it was not very cold so I was perfectly comfortable staying, but if it were very cold it would have been a terrible and expensive inconvenience!

Fabulous stay for our wedding anniversary in this beautiful hotel in a great central location. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly and willing to go above and beyond to make your stay special. Great bar and fantastic delicious breakfast.

So the bedroom that I stayed in was the sort of flagship bedroom, I suppose, of the hotel. It features the main page on the website and had a bath sort of on a balcony above the bed, which was beautiful. And it had its own balcony. It had lovely windows with beautiful views of the Utrecht city, I suppose, the main attractions like the clock tower and stuff like that. So beautiful, amazing views. Bathtub was really good, balcony private, nice big spacious room, but overall it needed some work. So here's some of the criticisms. Paintwork was a bit shabby, very, very dusty all over the room. The towels were of a cheaper nature and not what you'd expect in a luxury hotel. There wasn't many PowerPoints in the room. Had a USB by the bed, but no mini-USC, which I think needs to be updated in a hotel that are charging so much for such a room. You should have the latest sort of PowerPoints and stuff. The water that they give you, most hotels give you a nice bottle of water. This hotel was like a bottle of tap water, which you just filled up. It tasted a bit funny. It wasn't like a quality brand of water that you would expect. Overall though, pretty good. The food in the restaurant was superb. Really enjoyed that. And yeah, the service and the staff that I did meet were all wonderfully friendly and helpful. There was no iron in the room, but they bought me one straight away when I asked. And that was good. I think that's about sums up my review.

We had a pleasant stay here. From the first time I stepped inside the hotel, the smell was calming and unique. The staff were super nice and friendly. The breakfast was very good with a vast range of choices. The bed was super comfortable. Had a really relaxing night with the bathtub in the room. They provide a coffee machine in the room, and a boiler for tea, which I really appreciate. The outside noise was super loud but good that they noticed this and provided earplugs.

Two things they could improve. The room was super cold and I had to call them every time I needed to increase the heat, and it took ages to get the room warm enough. They have a limit to which they can’t increase the heat temperature more, because of their sustainable practices. Although I respect that but it just didn’t work for me. Coming form heavy shower and freezing weather outside it’s nice if they opened the heater beforehand or agreed to break the limit. They also could offer slippers since the floor was cold too. Also, room cleaning wasn’t professional, they only take the used towels. We came to the room and the bed wasn’t made up, the floor was dirty and the bathtub wasn’t cleaned. That was a bit odd from a hotel like this.

Excellent! One of the best hotels in our experience. Staff better than superb, room very nicely appointed and immaculate. Breakfast better than could have been expected. Location in the center of town close to restaurants, museums, shops, and perfect to experience the essence of the city.

Perfect location. Nice and cosy atmosphere. Comfortable bed. Perfect shower. You will feel the silence in the room. Attentive and patient staff. Nice bar and restaurant. Note, the breakfast is not as usual. As it comes freshly prepared, expect waiting time before you get it. It usually takes about 15 min before you get the food, however all is delicious.

Beautiful hotel - clean, luxurious, great attention to detail & a team who go the extra mile. The location is perfectly central & is surrounded by bars/restaurants, though the hotel also has a stunning restaurant.
