4 star hotels in De Koog

I have read some of the other reviews and am shocked. I have been here 8 times, as part of a conference every year - and have been delighted every time. The breakfast is great - choice of eggs, waffles, pancakes, bacon, sausages, fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereals, several types of bread, cold meats, salads - everything. Don't know what the other reviewers are complaining about, it's way better than...

This hotel is a top notch experience on the lovely island of Texel. The people who worked there went out of their way to help us with anything we needed, from reserving transport to booking tours. A special shout out to Jonas who was so kind and thoughtful! The entire place is beautifully designed and gives you a true feeling of relaxation and serenity. Nice spacious rooms, I like the furnishing and decorations, all in one bue/brown theme. Extensive breakfast with local products and only a short walk to the beach.

Ever been to a hotel where the web site totally oversells it? Less common is the opposite and that would be the Hotel Opduin. When I booked it, looking at the website I presumed a charming (and perhaps slightly run down) hotel nestling near the dunes. Perhaps a simple dining room, and a hotel with a few guests mid week in May. Which couldn’t be more wrong. Let’s get a couple of issues out of the way...

Kind staff, hotel goes the extra mile. Amazing breakfast and great facilities. Would recommend as a partial wheelchair user.

We just stayed in the hotel for a night, but we were very satisfied with the amenities, the room and the breakfast. It's located very close to the centre and next to the bus station.

The hotel looks lovely, but the apartment, though large and roomy, are not what you would expect from a hotel. No towels, no dish soap or cleaning supplies, no bathroom amenities. The beds were unmade and we had enough sheets to make up exactly 1 bed out of 4. Texel is amazing! Next time we will stay elsewhere.

Very friendly staff. Delicious food made with local ingredients. It just opened, so everything is super clean. The location is perfect for staying on this beautiful island.

Correct for the price. This hotel is having reasonable prices. Well located in the middle of the island. You can rent a bike and you will close to best places in Texel. Appartment have good equipment if you want to cook during your holidays. The biggest problem is quality of beds.

We stayed here for 4 days on a trip to Texel. The room was modern and very Comfortable. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast included had a really good variety of nice quality food. We are at the restaurant a couple of times during our stay and the food and service was fantastic. The hotel rent bikes too, which was really useful. In summary, a great place and good value...

Wonderful visit for our 30th wedding anniversary. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Hotel was fresh and updated.

Very relaxing, clean and stylish minimalist design. Quiet location within walking distance to dunes and reed beds. Excellent cycling lanes. Plenty of wildlife and within easy cycling distance to colourful bulb fields, coastal tracks, wetlands and villages. Limited places to eat without transport. The food in the restaurant however is delicious and excellent quality but fairly pricy. Limited choice...

This was the perfect location for my trip with great food, accommodations, staff, and clean.

A very Nice hotel and clean, free parking too. we could easily access other places in Textel with fietsen which you can also hire from the hotel. Ontbijt was also ok Quite disappointed that access to Sauna needed an extra payment but everyone could access the Pool so this was alittle reliëf.

The hotel itself is a really nice place. There is everything you need (bar, inside swimming pool, bowling...). The bedrooms were a bit dirty and the beds very (too) thin.

We go every now and then with the family to this hotel. Spacious rooms and it is right at the beach. Lovely breakfast and friendly service.

Loved the place! We went here with my family (toddler and my sister) and we all enjoyed it and had a very nice time. We got a family room and it was spacious and had everything we needed. We ate at the brasserie restaurant for dinner and the food/service was top notch 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻 the location was great and we could get everywhere by walking or bus. Will definitely come back 💖

Our apartment was nice as it is air-conditioned, but some of the hotel rooms are not. It’s not usually extremely hot on the island, but it can get pretty warm. Hotel is in excellent location, by the beach, and has all the services, a family on a holiday may wish for. Nice restaurant serving decent breakfast and even better lunch and dinner. Swimming pool is really nice, and gym has been recently refurbished...

The hotel is comfortably situated near the beach but not to far from the center. You can take a bus from/ to the harbor which is free of charge for the hotel guests. The rooms are spacious clean and need. The only thing missing was air conditioning and a fridge. Tasty breakfast with enough choice (also fruit). The staff was wonderful and very helpful and I recommend a relaxing massage in the wellness...

We had apartment 243. It had a view of the dunes and the lighthouse. The beach is very close. The building looks like a nursing home/hospital. The apartment itself is modernly furnished. Unfortunately, we couldn't use the awning. Apparently, the owner doesn't allow us to use it. The staff is very friendly and takes the time to help you. The bike shed was already full, so it must be overcrowded during...
