I would say I haven't stayed there for too long, the service is quite nice and the folk are friendly. My main issue was with the bathroom and the water heating system. There were no precautions notifications for them or how to operate it. Would appreciate it if the management could fix such an issue for tourists such as myself.

The historical hotel is very charming and situated in a beautiful area. Kitchen serves delicious meals and the service is extremely nice and helpful! We have stayed at the hotel on several occasions and noticed new amenities and improvements each time. A big plus for comfortable beds, clean and cozy rooms. It's one of those places you want to come back to!!

Worth to stay and delicious food too

Work put me here so I cannot comment on the value for money aspect of it. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the food was tasty and the fish well cooked. The room was clean. However the decor was like stepping back in time to a Granny's house from when I was younger and whoever cleaned the shower did a good job from eye level down, but ignored the black mould up high

Very comfy beds, excellent bathtub and beautiful open space. I feel the open space would be better utilised with a sofa than two chairs. Also the two halves of the bed separated very very easily, which is an incovenience in a room specced for romance. Maybe attach them together?

Very reasonably priced for 2 nights. Due to rail delays we were very late for our arrival and the owner Was nothing but helpful. He was waiting very early in the morning. Extremely friendly and Helpful. The hotel was a very nice, unique little boutique hotel. Perfectly situated in the heart of the centre 100m from the harbour. The owner was very accommodating and we felt safe with the corona measures...

The rates are really reasonable. The breakfast is nice and has coffee tea and fresh bread. The room was clean and had great beds. We slept really well. There are many quirky features in the rooms and the choice of furniture was a change compared to many of the places we stay. We have two improvement points that would have made it a 4 star rating. - There is nothing in the room to make a cup of coffee...

Great hotel with a good location and amazing breakfast, everthing works perfect, for sunday you can park your car in front of the hotel without anyproblem but unfortunately they have no parking place. The decoration of the room is so minimalist and cool.

A lovely little hotel with nice rooms. It could have been a bit cleaner and less dusty in places. You have to pick up your room key at the Hotel Zeezicht. There's also a secure storage area for bicycles. We would come back.

Location is fantastic - but you get the keys and breakfast at a different location. Building is really old but very authentic - though a bit cold in the room. Lovely breakfast though and staff were very nice.

No elevator. Steep staircase. These facts need to be mentioned in hotel listing. Did not receive instructions where to check in to pick up the room keys. After phone call I placed info was received to walk to another location to check in.

Perfect little cozy budget lodgement. Bathroom is almost brandnew and everything is clean and good planned. Not our last stay !!

Comfy hotel right on the water front.

A little but overpriced ,only 1 small bottle of water fir 2 days..room was clean and comfortable but not enough pillows.

We liked our stay very much, the receptionist was very friendly and helped us instandly with every question. Parking is easy but expensive, but this is due to the cities public parking tarifs. EV charging on many spots around the corner. The Hotel has a very good breakfast.

This mini-hotel in the heart of Sneek, right next to the landmark, is beautiful, yet unusual. The rooms are comfortable and everything is clean. You can make your own coffee. This hotel doesn't have a reception, and all necessary information is sent via email/WhatsApp. The housekeeper is very friendly and always has a smile on her face and is happy to answer any questions. Although the room itself (on the ground floor) was clean and tidy, and the service was good, the rules were very strict, almost militaristic (no visitors allowed in the room, no food allowed, "zero tolerance" and eviction if you didn't follow the rules, cameras in the rooms, etc.). This is a shame. In my opinion, friendliness and hospitality should be at the top of a hotel's list.

The only thing a hotel needs to get right is the mattress. Unfortunately that was not the case here. The decoration and layout of the room was good, but the finish was lacking (just basic finish lacking,single glazed windows, lots of light under the door,..). This 'hotel' has key vaults outside and no reception or anything else. Five stars for location as it's near a public parking garage and walking...

The hotel rooms are spacious and the equipment needs to be updated. Breakfast was pretty good with a variety of choices. The location is not far from the old town and can be walked. Has its own parking lot. Overall good value for money.

It is OK to stay for a night but it is a little far from the center. It really needs blackouts as the room gets super hot in high temperatures. Breakfast is good. Staff is friendly. Wifi is good and the restaurant is kept cool.

We didn't stay overnight in the hotel, we came just for eat in their restaurant. I do really like their salad salmon. Also their cassava chips!

The rooms were clean and warm. What a fantastic place, lovely apartment, delicious breakfast, lovely hostess. Truly fantastic. We had a wonderful weekend in Leeuwarden with two friends. The location and accommodation couldn't have been better.

A very beautiful and cozy place to stay. The owners were very accommodating, thoughtful and straight forward, and run a very clean and homely environment. Honestly, it was too much room for one person. I highly recommend it for single people who like space and for those with family who would prefer it.

Beautiful house in a great location. A few things that needed repair, but were already mentioned in reviews from March 2019 and haven't been addressed. Service and contact were subpar, unfriendly rules, unclear payment requests upfront, and "penalties" for checking out even a minute late.

This is a fantastic house/hotel. Looks like the pictures. Excellent service - since you are alone in the house you must call. The location is really central, but no noice at night time. I recommend!

Lovely Hotel. Staff is very friendly, the Rooms are clean and look the same as on their website. The breakfast buffet is rich and has a lot to choose from. Croissants, loaf rolls, bread, cheese, sausages, pancakes etc. We will definitely come back one day!

One of the main reasons I booked this hotel was it being a historic hotel, the website showed very nice pictures, but unfortunately the hotel is currently undergoing renovations, which were not mentioned at reservation time. Most of the hotel is off limits due to the renovations, leaving only Motel experience for the guests. The service staff are great and took steps to mitigate the situation.  But...

The room is old. I stayed there for more than 10 days. The potato chips I dropped were still on the floor the next day. I wiped the dust off the table and bedside table by myself. I only dusted the quilt and changed the garbage bag in the room.

Booked two nights, first night no sleep because of drunk guests. T****e night no sleep because of the gnawing of mice. The gentleman at the reception was very friendly by the way. Food at the restaurant was fine, breakfast for that price mediocre.

You’d expect a lot more of the basics for the price. Paper coffee cups instead of real ones. No wine glasses. No mini-bar. No bottle opener. The room was clean and lacking anything that could make it homely. Would I stay here again. In short, not for the price. Don’t be fooled into thinking this is a luxury standard facility.

I like the property alot looks very beautiful and luxury but the only thing that bothered me was no atm in the hotel and no way of public transport to the hotel , those are very vital things for people that need transport or money

Nice, quite new, clean hotel just nearby Leeuwarden. Friendly staff. Menu not in English, as typical here. But everyone are speaking English enough. If you want peace and view, choose room in back side, heading towards city. If you want sun and do not mind highway and parking lot, choose front side room. Local specialty is shared balcony for entire floor.

The welcome and explanation about the stay were adequate. Amenities were tailored to the price (or vice versa), and I called in advance. What I missed was a Wi-Fi password. I ate elsewhere, so I can't comment on the service at 't Anker, except for the breakfast. It was basic but adequate.

Post Plaza Leewarden Hotel post plaza is always a solid choice. All of the staff are excellent and friendly and the rooms are clean and of good quality. Convenient to downtown. Breakast is good too.

What I loved the most was how lovely the people were: All of the staff we met at check-in, at the bar and at breakfast in the morning were super kind and funny. We checked in a bit late which was no problem, they were very accommodating. The room was clean and comfortable with a nice view. Breakfast was plenty, fresh and delicious. 10/10 would recommend.

Very nice and modern hotel with comfy beds. Very close to the ferry terminal, and just outside of the old town on Vlieland. Good food in the restaurant, but quite a small collection of cocktails and wine, and the breakfast buffet is unfortunately quite overpriced.

We had coffee at Zeezicht today on the terrace and it was very pleasant to sit there and enjoy the view of the Waddenzee. The coffee was very good. The lady that served was very friendly and professional. The choice of cakes was pretty okay too.

Very cozy hotel, with nice room and friendly staff. The breakfast is good, with various options. Rooms are comfy and of a good size. They have also some good wines - I found my favorite one (Scaia bianca - garganega and chardonnay), what a surprise!

Really quiet spacious room with black out curtains. The double bed is split so they often spread from each other. The bed duvet is LUXURIOUS as they're weighted making it nice and snug. The pillows however, are very hard and heavy and uncomfortable to sleep on. The waterfall shower is amazing and the rituals soaps are divine however there were no tissues in the bathroom nor a fridge in the main room...

Had an amazing time! Vlieland is an amazing place, bike rental was close by and convenient. Staff were generally quite nice. Had some issues with room service but other than that it was great! Would HIGHLY recommend

The hotel is located a 5 minute walk away from the ferry terminal. Beds are very soft and comfy. The shower supplies are new/full bottles. Balconies are closed off from the neighbouring rooms and partly closed fencing. When we arrived early they arranged an earlier check-in after a quick call. Upon arrival the front desk even helped carry a couple of heavy luggage up two flights of stairs. The restaurant...

We enjoyed our recent stay in Badhotel Bruin. The old building has a lot of charme and the family room was big and comfortable. Bed and shower quality were excellent. Location is perfect, right in the middle of all shops and restaurants. Ferry terminal and bike rental are at walking distance. It is not necessary to arrange a transfer or take a bus to get to the hotel when you arrive at the island....

Again, friendly hotel staff and a neat and clean interior. The kids beds prepared love and care. The restaurant staff was informative and professional. The diner tasty. Will return, again! 2-dec.

The hotel is comfortably situated near the beach but not to far from the center. You can take a bus from/ to the harbor which is free of charge for the hotel guests. The rooms are spacious clean and need. The only thing missing was air conditioning and a fridge. Tasty breakfast with enough choice (also fruit). We had apartment 243. It had a view of the dunes and the lighthouse. The beach is very close. The building looks like a nursing home/hospital. The apartment itself is modernly furnished. Unfortunately, we couldn't use the awning. Apparently, the owner doesn't allow us to use it. The staff is very friendly and takes the time to help you. The bike shed was already full, so it must be overcrowded during...

First time Vlieland, nice stay!

The hotel was right on the beach. Our room could access directly into the dunes. Great sunsets every night (from beach not room). From room could sadly not see the sea as the dunes were in front of it. Rooms were refitted so looked new and modern. Rest of hotel is rather old. Swimming pool (indoor only) old. Spa needed to pay. Breakfast was ok. There is a busservice included with the hotel. Stops right...

The layout was a bit confusing. Staff was very helpful and welcoming.

The room was very lovely and it has a great terras, however the room was 27 degrees all day, using the sauna made it even worse and it only had a broken fan so the night was quitte harsh.

Nice hotel in the center of Nes, near the boat and in the middle of the island, ideal for trips to one end or the other. Room was neat, coffee, tea and a kettle available, perfect to grab a cup of coffee in the morning (too) early. I wanted to go out early before the sun was up and just knew if I would be back in time for breakfast, no problem, then they arrange a breakfast package with all the trimmings...

My Husband and I stay for four nights and the room are super clean,the stuffs are friendly and the breakfast is so good.

Me and my wife stayed in this hotel for 4 nights we were very enjoyed. The price is okay and Location is also great.Only 15min walk to the ferry port. Hospitality and cleaning service are very satisfied and also breakfast is very good. I would like to highly recommend if you visit to this beautiful island and Hotel Hofker is my favourite one :))

We stayed for Lunch, great beer. We had the XL Tosti with some fries, it was great. The staff was especially kind and very helpful. The Bistro is also very Pet and Kid friendly.

We had a fantastic evening at Overzee! The food was absolutely delicious — we had steak and it was cooked to perfection. The wine we chose was excellent and complemented the meal beautifully. The service was incredibly friendly, we felt welcome and comfortable from the very first moment. One of the highlights for us was how warmly our dogs were welcomed — it’s not always easy to find such a dog-friendly...

Dinner was very moderate, mussels were average, salmon as well, in general overcooked, no experienced chef. Personell was junior but friendly.

room 7 spacious doubble rain shower and a tub, separate toilet bed 1.80 wide in the center of Nes, 3 minute walking to the central parking place, this island has in every village a central parking breakfast and dinner can be booked seperately, very convenient

A convenient stay. Comfort rooms have good beds, good shower. Helpful and friendly staff. A very good breakfast. And instead of a coffeemachine coffee is handmade at the reception during breakfast. So much better coffee. Minus: walls are not soundproof. Convenient location to start a cycletour around the island and do some birdwatching.

I spent a long weekend here with my girlfriend in October 2020, and now I'm back for Whitsunday weekend with my friend, son, daughter, and supporters. Again, down to the last detail. If you're visiting Ameland, this hotel is the best place for you.

A beautiful hotel with a great location in the center of Ameland. Good restaurants nearby. Pleasant staff. Clean room. We had a room with a double (!) jacuzzi: it's wonderful to relax here after a pleasant walk along the beach. Plus, there's a café-bar where you can get your coffee and tea (on the go). There's also a bean machine in the room itself, perfect!

Friendly and kind service - big family room on two levels - very comfortable beds - a nice balcony with chairs and view on a quiet garden - good breakfast - convenient location at walking distance to the town center and the beach. We had a good time with the family.

Very nice hotel which is a couple of minutes biking from the beach and walking distance from the center of Nes. The bus stops a couple of meters away. Service is lovely and very home-y, and incredibly flexible if the demand allows. While in my experience unusual, the directly-at-your-table buffet is a lovely idea (no need to be walking around for your food) and incredibly accommodating to dietary restrictions...

Great value money, location, friendly staff and decent breakfast each day

Simple but quite nice accommodations. The breakfast is excellent, serving several types of bread and rolls, meat and cheese. The cool bonus is they provide baggies so you can also pack a lunch for your day on the go. Perfect for our family of four. Good location for visiting the different tourist spots. And when it's time to head home, the bus stop is a couple minutes walk. One last note...They...

I stayed in this hotel for a week. First of all, the light brown hair girl who was at the reception the first day was not very friendly, she was looking at her cell phone and didn't pay attention to us, she just asked us if we needed anything without even looking at us, but then another very nice brunette girl came to help us, and she was really nice with us.
