Very friendly, helpful staff when we arrived. Access after hours was clear and worked well Room was very clean. We didn’t eat at the motel. It was central to everything we needed and easy walking to the city and shops

The only thing we are not happy about the place is that : we arrived the hotel on Wednesday, and would check out on Sunday.We used a halved coca-cola box to put the snacks we bought from supermarket and things we we took off our car when we back to the hotel every night. For the first two nights the box and the things inside it stayed there. On that Saturday we would attend our son's university graduation ceremony so we left that box in the room with a unopened pack of cookie time , a opend box of snack bar and my vacuum flask which was a gift from my son.on Sunday when we leaving we couldn't find my flask. When i on my plane, I realized it was not in the room. The box and the things inside that should have been cleared on Saturday when we were not in the room. This makes me very upset.

We was late about 10min checked in at night. But the person in charge was still very friendly n helpful to helped us carried the luggage due to there was some distance from my car to the building that we stayed. Overall was cool and comfortable. The location was great and perfect as just very close to the octagon.

Due to the possibility of all-night road works adjacent to the Motel, the staff offered us a change of room to a quieter part of the complex. We gratefully accepted this!

Although an older building, it was in large part well maintained. We were upgraded to a suite which made our stay very enjoyable, but I’m sure from what we saw a studio would still have been nice. Stayed 3 nights.
The manager was really helpful.

The room facilities are rather simple, but the hotel is in a very good location, within walking distance to Dunedin Railway Station, churches and other attractions. The hygiene and service are average, but free parking is available.

The room is big and quiet. It is in the city center and is within walking distance to everything. It is cleaned every day and supplies are replenished in time. Parking is free, which is commendable. The King's gate next door costs 15 New Zealand dollars, and the room is small. The service staff are also friendly.

The hotel is located in the city center, only 5 minutes walk to the First Church and about 10 minutes to the train station. Parking is convenient and there are many places to eat. When checking in, there is no front desk and you have to call. The hotel is old but very clean. The elevator is too old and a bit scary. I bought bread for breakfast at the supermarket. There are bowls and basins.

Great coffee and the best savoury scrolls. Injectable donuts live up to their hype too. Free sparkling water is offered too which is nice.

Good place for a coffee and cake. Nice meals. Friendly and very well dressed staff. Nice for hanging out with friends and enjoying a good convo over coffee or food.

Good service and cosy. Service is great one on one. I was impressed with this. We ordered a muffin and coffee. Muffin was bought to us at our table. Both the large muffin and coffee were well presented and very tasty. I will definitely be back.

Today was my first visit to Nova. We were escorted to a table and immediately each given a glass of soda water with a citrus flavour. Very refreshing. Our orders were taken and very promptly delivered. No complaints at all. I'll be back

Good for watching sport. Sometimes standing room only. Awesome terrace setup in a separate room with the big screen. (Hence the name of the bar)
