Dovre Motell in Dovre

I can absolutely recommend choosing this motel for any stay, but especially long-term. The way these cottages are in a perfect condition (built in 1969) really makes you feel like you traveled in time, because although everything's obviously old-style, it's perfectly clean and functions properly. You have the privacy of a separate room with pull-out sofa and TV, as well as kitchen (equipped with only a cooking stove, but enough dishes and appliances) and bunk beds, meaning each cottage can fit up to 4 people. It's a quiet location among the nature, combined with the convince of the gas station (EV charging stations available), where you have the shop and the cafe open even on public holidays. Absolutely perfect place to stay during a road trip. P.S. I can also hint to read the history of this place, which I found really interesting. I'm sure the current management would make Arne Haugerud proud.

We had the time of our lives

The cottage was tidy but dated. We felt like we were in the 60s/70s. We knew about the bunk bed, but it wasn't very comfortable. A comfy chair, a couch that wasn't quite as comfortable. And let's be honest: when do you sleep in the kitchen or cook in your bedroom?

Lovely cabin with great views right next to the river. It had all the necessary amenities. It was also very quiet and peaceful 😁

Chalets with all the essentials: kitchen, refrigerator, fast Wi-Fi, flat-screen TV, and parking next door.
The water pressure in the bathroom is excellent and the water heats up quickly. There's a hairdryer. There's no shower head.
For breakfast, you have to walk to the adjacent gas station.
The breakfast is mediocre, sparse, and basic.
The staff is very friendly.

Beautiful area by the river and cute cabins. Very enjoyable.

Fantastic vintage cabins! Nice, clean, well maintained and you can really get the feeling of 70s-80s there! Check all the small details in the kitchen, bathroom and living room. Highly recommended!

Open 24/7, we arrived at 23:30 and booking was quick.
Clean place. Warm water. Kitchen with fridge, pot and basic accessories.
We had bunk bed in the kitched, where we can hear the fridge occationally, which is not great, but also not terrible.
Another double bed was in separate living room with small TV.
Could sleep well.
Good breakfast, from 06:00 includes: freshly prepared bacon and eggs, cofee, tea, white or wholemeal bread with salty and sweet variants.

Overally very good considering the relatively small price, with quite retro/basic interiors, breakfast could include fruits. Thanks!
