This is a very belated review but I stayed here in March 2025 and this hotel is fantastic: very stylish, clean, my room was stunning in terms of design and comfort and the location is great (it’s a small town so it doesn’t matter all too much where you stay really). The highlight for me were the staff / service which was top class - when I got stuck in another place due to bad weather, they let me extend my checkout a bit and packed a breakfast for me the next day at no charge (since the bus made me arrive late). I hope to be back here one summer and would 100% stay at this hotel again.

Bryggehotell is by far the best place to stay in Henningsvær! The hotel’s location is incredible – right on the water, with stunning views of the harbor and surrounding mountains. The rooms are modern, cozy, and very clean, and the overall atmosphere perfectly reflects the spirit of the Lofoten Islands.
The staff are extremely helpful and friendly, always ready to give advice about local attractions or dining options. Breakfast is fresh and varied, and enjoying a meal with a view of the fjord is an absolute delight.
If you’re looking for a place that combines comfort, a great location, and a unique vibe, Bryggehotell in Henningsvær is without a doubt the number one choice. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting this part of Norway!

I recommend avoiding Villa Bryggekanten if you can. It’s overpriced, unclean, the rooms are tiny, and there’s no real ocean view.
If you do end up staying here, definitely bring slippers. The cleanliness was unacceptable. I stepped on a piece of glass in the room and cut my foot, and made me question how well it was actually cleaned. When I asked the front desk if they had slippers, they just said “sorry to hear that” and did nothing (They said they would get the slippers from their sister hotel next door, but never brought it). The bathroom light kept flickering, and even though they promised someone would fix it, no one ever came. There weren’t even tissues in the bathroom. The staff are polite on the surface but unhelpful in practice.
The room itself is poorly designed and way too small. I’ve stayed at compact hotels like Moxy, but this was even smaller. The bed is positioned so awkwardly that you bump into it as soon as you walk in. The bathroom door only opens one way because there’s no space between it and the bed. The “queen” bed is actually closer to a twin—extremely small and uncomfortable.
I booked an “ocean view” room for two nights, but the only thing I could see were the houses across the water—no open views, no mountains, nothing like what I expected. For $550, it’s just not worth it. On top of that, you have to pay for public parking, since the hotel only has about six or seven spaces. If you leave during the day, good luck finding one when you come back.
The only pro is the breakfast, while the options are limited, it includes everything I enjoy. They offer fish liver oil, and the breakfast staff are friendly.
I honestly don’t understand how this hotel has such high reviews. I booked it because of all the positive ratings and was really looking forward to my stay. Unfortunately, this turned out to be the worst hotel I’ve stayed at in Norway.

Prime location. Super friendly staff. The Ac didn’t seem to work while we were there. Only the front row is free parking. Otherwise you have to pay till 11 pm for parking. Walkable to other restaurants. Near by Presten hike. Picky thought - but the towel hooks are in really bad places. Not near the shower. And no towel hook for your hand towel. There’s no tv as well in the suite

Absolutely perfect stay at Villa Bryggekanten! Emma at the front desk was incredibly welcoming and helpful — and honestly, every staff member we interacted with was just as amazing. The breakfast was fresh and delicious, and the location couldn’t be better — right on the water and walking distance to everything. Already looking forward to stopping here again, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the area.
