The hotel isn't new, and neither are the rooms. But it was clean, and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and varied, and the hotel restaurant was generally decent. I also liked the pool and spa. The location was fantastic!

Pure Eastern Bloc feeling. Exactly as I imagine it. Room furnishings and mattresses that were probably purchased at the end of the Cold War in 1989, if not earlier. The entire room is correspondingly unappealing and/or uncomfortable.

One star for a roof over my head and running hot water.

There was a musty smell in the air, so I didn't even unpack my suitcase, only the clothes I wanted to wear immediately. I stayed in much more comfortable accommodations for less than €71 a night on our tour of Poland.

The hotel is very noisy; the walls must be paper-thin. You can hear every guest in the next room or in the hallway as they walk by.

Bonus/unpleasant surprise at the end of the day: The room was not cleaned at all, the bed wasn't made, and the towels I had placed in the shower tray as instructed, so they could be replaced, were still there. We had booked two nights.

Don't be fooled by the reviews for Hotel St. Bruno, which belongs to the same complex. The standard there is worlds apart from Hotel Zamek.

Service information: A hairdryer is not provided. Neither is there a reception or staff on-site. You have to go to Hotel Bruno to ask for these things.

It was truly a terrible experience, and even the two stars the hotel uses to justify the overwhelmingly negative reviews don't justify it. Two stars should at least provide a mattress you can sleep on and clean air without the smell of musty mold.

The location in the center of Giżycko, and that's about it. The rooms are damp, the bathroom smells of urine, and there's noise from neighboring rooms.

The only positive is the location... the room has a modest bathroom, a double bed made of two single beds, a balcony, a wardrobe, and a TV. There's no fridge or kettle. There's no place to eat outside the room, so we're stuck with city trips. The bed is uncomfortable because there's a hole in the middle. There's no fridge (we were there in August and bought ice at Frog for cold drinks). There's no service. Everything is centered around the Bruno Hotel, which is a separate facility. I definitely won't be back and I don't recommend it.

Don't confuse this castle with St. Bruno. Even though they are connected to the reception, the rooms are like those from the Polish People's Republic. I won't say it's clean, each room has a balcony. But this does not change the fact that the rooms do not meet the standard of the hotel, despite having 2 stars.

There was no cleaning for 4 days of stay. No kettle or fridge even in the corridor. Price: more expensive than in the center of Vilnius in a 4-star hotel. I've been to various hostels: Guatemala, Vietnam, etc. It's really a disaster. The owner doesn't care. The situation can be improved at a small cost, but no one is interested. And a piece of advice: don't sail - avoid Giżycko. The prices are sky high, but there's nothing to see

Good location close to the center, quiet, next to the park. Possibility to use the attractions of the neighboring hotel, which owns this one. Helpful staff. The price does not correspond to the standard, even 2*. Parking costs extra.

Bardzo blisko centrum. Spokojne kameralne miejsce. Obok głównych atrakcji miasta.

The beds in the room are a drama and a mockery of the guests, a few years ago they should have been replaced, it is impossible to sleep on them. Springs came out of one, the other egg-shaped, which you can fall off while sleeping. The explanation that a two-star hotel is no excuse ... Another joke and tricking guests into additional costs is the parking fee of PLN 25 per day. The only good thing is the location. In addition, a colony of children who stayed in the facility, not paying attention to be quiet at the right times, running in the corridor, screaming, etc. Personally, I do not recommend it, because for this price you can find a much better place to stay offering better conditions.

Clean, quiet, excellent accommodation price. Breakfast at the adjacent hotel St. Bruno excellent.. At the time of our visit, the reception at the Hotel St. Bruno.
