Coast Rosslare Strand in Wexford

Stayed overnight, and found the hotel to be a real surprise! We booked into one of the suites, and it was beautifully decorated, and excellent value for the price we paid. Lovely staff, food really good. We'll definitely stay again.

We stay here for a single nights at least 10 times a year coming over from the UK and when we are going back. We choose to stay mainly because it is ideally located & convenient for access to the surrounding pubs, shops, beaches etc. The hotel is very nice on the outside and very good parking availability in the foyer slightly dated. Excellent staff. Good bar and restaurant and the evening meals. Ferries leaving times begin very early and the hotel is aware of this but do not accommodate adequately or address this with the serving times for breakfast so inevitably the guest who need to check out early do so without breakfast as only toast and coffee is available. We would prefer to have a choice of room with or without breakfast. The breakfast is a huge disappointment there is very very little choice for continental. The croissants are the only pastries available and available only cut in half. All items on the cooked breakfast were inedible burnt, dried out and should not have been served. Breakfast criticism is genuinely addressed in the hope of improvement. The Bedroom was ok but really really not happy with the lack of hot water in Bathroom in the evening also the extremely peeled and discoloured grouting also chipped and broken floor and wall, tiles. Bath panel, toilet roll and towel rail falling off or loose.

We had a lovely stay in the coast....a hotel we've stayed in many times. The welcome is always warm, the location is great, and one of the best breakfasts you can get....always enjoy our stay here...highly recommended..

Beautiful hotel.Warm welcome and we arrived early so we were really grateful that our room was ready. The large room was well resourced and we thought our stay was really good value. we got a great rate for booking direct. food and drink were lovely and only 12 mins fromf Rosslare Ferry teminal.

Great hotel and staff, good bar food choices, Irish breakfast excellent (freshly cooked and delivered to the table). Rooms clean and comfortable beds. Near the beach for long walks.

We didn’t arrive until 9pm after a delayed crossing with Irish ferries. The staff were, as always, friendly and helpful and although food had finished being served for the evening we were still able to choose anything we wanted from the menu. You couldn’t want for better service. Coast is our preferred “go to” at the start and end our visits. Whilst it’s not 5*, it’s excellent value at this time of year and ideally located for the ferry terminal. They could do with changing the drab grey paint in the bedroom corridors and the carpet in the bedroom we occupied had been replaced with laminate type flooring…presumably for ease of maintenance, but not so welcoming. Overall, another pleasant stay and we’ll be returning in a few days time prior to cathing the early ferry.

We stayed for one night as our ferry had been cancelled. The room was very spacious and clean, but the grey decor is a bit overwhelming and would benefit from a lighter wall colour. Nice bar and menu. All the staff members were welcoming and friendly. We were able to have some breakfast before leaving early the next morning.

The team at Coast provide a fabulous service which made our overall experience superb. From the reception to the bar/restaurant it seems no ask is too big for them. Despite a power cut during our stay the overall experience was fantastic. We felt very welcome and well looked after as well as being kept informed. Coast is superbly located within really easy reach of the beach and every other amenity Rosslare has to offer. The silence when you wake up in the morning coupled with one of the best traditional breakfasts and lovely homemade brown bread set us up for the day. The only reason I wouldn’t rate it 5 star is that the hotel itself needs some updating. The room was spotless but bathrooms are tired and overall a bit dated. The staff, the service and the homely welcome are superb though and once you adjust your expectations on the decor you are in for a lovely time if you stay at Coast! Can also highly recommend the afternoon tea, the scones were so fresh and definitely tasted home made. Overall great quality for the price!
