Terrible toilets. There are many technologies available now, from compact dry closets to concrete ring septic tanks, that can solve this smelly problem.
The place is sincere. Despite the lack of amenities familiar to a city dweller, the atmosphere and energy, if you like, are present in full. We came here by water a couple of times. The locals are very friendly and positive. There is a small sandy beach and a pier. There is a place for children to run. The houses are right under the trees and here it is. In places like this, what I like the most is the lack of taut glamor with formidable guards.
