It is a nice place for guests but working conditions there are close to slavery. It is by far the most expensive hotel on the island and waitresses receive the lowest wage and practically no tips.
I worked there for 1 month in summer 2019, that was not a nice experience. I was promised a normal job with 2 days of break per week for a modest salary of 270 euro per month plus a 67 euro bonus "if you don't break a lot of dishes" (for example, in St-Petersburg normal salary for a waitress in summer is 1000-1500 euro). Transport from St-Petersburg to the island and the way back, food and accommodation payed by the employer. A modest salary but seemed fine to see the island and have a different experience during my summer break.
Instead, I worked for weeks without weekend. Waking up at 5:30 a.m. and going to sleep at 10 p.m, with a couple of hours of break in between. My boss told me I could have a day off but it would mean that my colleague would have to work a 16-hours shift alone. They never made me a contract, so I couldn't leave. I was told every day that if I don't work harder they will cut my (already ridiculous) salary. I decided to work till the end of the month and leave because it was unbearable, so they cut my bonus and till the end they couldn't tell my if my way back will be paid.
Cherry on the top: me and my colleague worked till the last day before departure. Unfortunately, all the boat transfers were cancelled because of the storm and we had to stay on the island one day more. Our boss told us to work that day but we refused, we were so exhausted. We were not even sure to be paid for that supplementary day of work. So our boss told us to leave the apartment because "those who don't work don't get to sleep".
It is a deeply unethical business. If you chose to stay there, please tip the stuff. They will smile to you and be very nice (because clients are not to blame for this situation) but it doesn't mean they are not exploited.

Fabulous! Few hotels are made and run with love, this one is one of them.

Great cozy, clean and comfortable hotel. Breakfast and food in general are excellent. Nothing to complain about. On Solovki only there.

Everything is great!!! Comfortable rooms, beautiful furnishings, excellent linen, a chic breakfast buffet, the opportunity to have lunch and dinner with various dishes, including local fish cuisine

A very pleasant hotel. Great attitude towards guests, excellent service in the restaurant. Certainly not cheap, but those who can afford such a price category will be satisfied.
