I did not rest in the resort itself.
Been to the area multiple times. Through the resort path to the beach.
The path to the beach is steep, with many old steps. With a baby stroller is not an option, it is better to carry the child in your arms. The road is still Soviet, uncomfortable, with potholes. Apparently, over the decades of being part of Ukraine, little has been repaired here. Although the sanatorium was previously called UKRAINE.
Coming back from the beach is even more difficult than going up, which is natural.
You can only go down to the beach on foot, there is no cable car, no elevator (at least I didn’t find them on the territory in 2021).
The funicular is much further, outside the territory of the Motherland. Go a lot further.
The beach is nice, not great, but suitable for swimming. Pebble. It seems that there are lifeguards (there are definitely, they are just not always visible). You can find a free place in the shade, where there are no hotel sunbeds.
The territory of the sanatorium is meager, little ennobled (but I went around only part of the territory).
Everyone is allowed into the territory (and released from the beach through the territory) only until 19:00.
During the summer 2021 covid restrictions, all outsiders who did not have a negative Covid test or vaccination certificate were banned from entering. But these are temporary measures.
During the covid period, it takes much longer to go to the beach and along an unlit narrow roadway, a path for pedestrians was not invented.
If you walk to the left for about 10 minutes from the entrance to the Motherland, there is the Dnepr sanatorium, it is better equipped, but that's another story ...

Great stay! Stalinist Empire style and a chic park with a huge variety of conifers. Buffet delicious. Private beach, tiny "children's" pebbles. Its medical base, doctors and medical staff are very adequate and friendly. In general, respect to all employees - well done. Of course, there is still a lot to do in the buildings and on the territory, but the experience is great!

A very beautiful place, we walked around the territory and went through the sanatorium to the beach. We would like to come here on vacation. It is a pity now for mere mortals not to get here.

The staff are polite and friendly. They will help and prompt, if necessary. The food is excellent, the menu is varied, seasonal fruits and berries. Large green area. I put 4 stars only because the rooms breathe with the Soviet Union, the buildings need repair. In general, everything is not even bad!

My review is for those who want to relax in Gaspra, sanatorium through the open passage (one of the two passes), the beach (for free), so you can plan housing closer to the resort, the pass is quite scenic, that Gaspra is a rarity. In the sanatorium is not living and was not treated nor what can not tell, but the site seems to be not bad is where to sit to get some air.
