Hotel Zvezda in Irkutsk

Last week we used the services of the Zvezda hotel. To be honest, we doubted that the reviews left by visitors would meet our expectations. In fact: convenient, clean, comfortable, customer focus at a high level. We have already booked a room for next week!

This time I caught an EARTHQUAKE when I checked into the Zvezda Hotel for the second time in early December 2020. I was at the Zvezda Hotel in July 2020. Here is my then review: Hotel Zvezda in Irkutsk pleasantly surprised me. I took a two-room suite with a dressing room, a bathroom with a hot tub, a living room and a bedroom. The interior of the room is a harmonious, restrained classic. Bathrobes, towels, and any other small things available. There are two decent restaurants. Ate in Chinese. There is secure parking for those traveling by car. But it was not without a fly in the ointment - there is a capsule coffee machine in the room, but there were no coffee capsules. We called the reception. We were told that there is no capsule coffee in the hotel today. From the word at all. But really, they apologized. Since I stopped at the Zvezda Hotel for the second time, it means that there were no special complaints about the room and service, with the exception of minor flaws. This time my wife and I decided to take the studio room as we didn't have a child with us, there was no need for a second room and thus we didn't take the suite. We liked the studio. A large bedroom-living room, a rather large bathroom with a hot tub and bidet, and a nice bonus in the form of a glassed-in bay window with a table and two comfortable chairs. But, then, sniffing, they felt a persistent smell of tobacco fumes, which, it seems, was spreading from the bathroom. Having gone down to the first floor, we complained to the administrators about this fact. The kind receptionists offered to replace the room with another, namely, a "suite" with a large square living room of approximately 40m2 and a separate bedroom with two bathrooms. The master bathroom adjoins the bedroom and includes a spa bath, walk-in shower, bidet, toilet and beautiful washbasin. The "guest" bathroom is adjacent to the hallway and has just a sink and a toilet. In general, we liked it. Lux found us again in this hotel. 😊 I liked that the Zvezda Hotel is an exhibition and sale of paintings by different artists. In addition to the aesthetic decoration of the corridors, the guest can purchase a painting he likes. Each painting contains the name of the artist, size, technique and price. As an art collector, I really liked it. This time, my beloved and I had dinner at a hunting restaurant in the basement of the building. Here we really liked soups - dumplings in broth (I always forget the name of this dish 😊) and “buhler”. There was also a delicious tea with berries and a dessert of cranberries, honey and pine nuts. But, finally, at 3 o'clock in the morning, we woke up from the fact that the bed was rocking, like on a ship! Immediately realized that EARTHQUAKE! But there was no rumble from underground, which means that the epicenter is located far enough. That is, there should not be strong aftershocks. We were lucky that we were in a room on the 1st floor - it didn't shake so much there. After the pitching, they immediately fell asleep - the next day there was a plane to Moscow. We liked everything. Thanks to the Zvezda Hotel for exemplary guest service!

My husband and I decided to arrange a romantic, chose this hotel, booked a room. Check-in was very fast, we got a nice, comfortable room with a balcony. The administrator also offered to use the bath complex and offered a discount on the bathhouse for residents. Of course, we took advantage of such a moment and lo and behold, we got so steamed up and bathed like never before. Very convenient, close to everything, you don't need to leave the hotel anywhere! The price of the room included tomorrow at the restaurant, they delivered it to our room, we were delighted! In general, a lot of positive emotions, so we want to express our gratitude to this hotel and will recommend it to our friends! Service at the highest level!
