Кафедральный собор с могилой Канта, он долгое время разрушен был, его восстановили и, думаю, он выглядит настоящим - он стоит на острове, кроме собора на острове ничего нет, деревья и он. The Cathedral with the tomb of Kant. It was destroyed then was restored and I think it looks real - it stands on the island. There are only the Cathedral and the tomb on this island and nothing else. |

The city was heavily damaged after the war, very much, but it was possible to renovate a lot. It was very beautiful. With its tough history. However, it was recovered very few, just ruined, and built Khrushchev houses. King's castle was in ruins until the 60's. The castle was blown up when Khrushchev came. The house of Soviets was build on its place but was not finished until now (since 1968). Empty huge building. The Cathedral was being restored not so long ago, in youth we climbed through the ruins. Gdansk in Poland was destroyed about the same, but he was more fortunate - it's great restored. But Königsberg became a another city - Kaliningrad.
