Matrix Hotel in St. Petersburg

The only plus of the hotel is its wonderful location: almost in the city center, just a 10-minute walk from the Vasileostrovskaya metro station, everything else was very upsetting:
1. The heating is just terrible, despite the fact that it was +8 outside the window, it was almost impossible to sleep without clothes.
2. There was no hot water, and the next day when it did appear, it was boiling water, and a minute later it was already icy water, so it was not possible to wash.
3. The equipment leaves much to be desired, the shower door was broken, the hair dryer did not work well.
4. Breakfast is generally an empty formality, they put sausages, cheese, sausages and muesli on plates and it's ready. But what was most outrageous was washing this dish right there, in the nearest sink, even without soap, just rinsed it with water and put it again.

My husband and I came from Finland for the weekend to the Matrix Hotel. It was chosen for reasons of convenient location, because my relatives live nearby. When we checked in and went into the room, a sharp and very strange smell hit our noses, they opened the windows, it seemed to be ventilated. In the morning, around 8.30 on Saturday, we went for breakfast, everything seemed to be fine, except that the woman found a long hair cut with sausage. On Sunday we woke up later around 9 am and what was my surprise when I came for breakfast. How Mamai went to Russia! An open bread box with stale salmon, no cheese, no porridge. 9 in the morning, there was nothing! A few minutes later, she fussed, and with a displeased face went into the hall already with a package of cheese and a long loaf. I paid attention to her appearance, her hair curls up to her shoulders, curls in all directions .. i) and this mane is shaking for food to the guests. I honestly don’t even know the cost of living, I understand that the hotel is cheap, apparently. But at least some minimal service should be !! I put the hotel 2 stars for the location.
