General fact about the stadium
The projected total area of the stadium building is 127,500 m².
The capacity of the stadium will be 45,000 seats, including 902 seats for low-mobility groups of people together with accompanying persons. It is expected that after the tournament is over, the stadium will be used for home matches of the FC Olimpiyets Nizhny Novgorod in the Russian Football Premier League.

At the end of 2014, the Ministry of Sport of the Russian Federation signed a contract with OAO Stroytransgaz for the construction of a stadium worth 16.756 billion rubles for an area of 21.6 hectares. Works on the construction of the stadium "Nizhny Novgorod" began in 2015.
