Aquamarine Hotel – Full Review (with on-site water park)

We stayed at Aquamarine Hotel, which connects directly from the hotel grounds to a small guests’ pool and then into the on-site water park. The property has many rooms and a main dining hall.

Pros
• Breakfast: Excellent quality and very diverse. When you finally get in, the food is tasty and varied for families.

Cons & Issues
• Crowding: Mornings were extremely busy. We had to queue every day just to enter the dining hall. Overall, the hotel feels very crowded.
• Room & View Mismatch: We paid extra for a park-view room but received a corner room with no real view. Noise carried between rooms, even on the 4th floor, so it felt more like a hostel than a hotel.
• Housekeeping: Cleaning was poor. Beds were made and towels replaced, but the room wasn’t actually cleaned. When we asked for cleaning, staff didn’t understand why it was needed and declined.
• Elevators: Too small and too few for the number of guests, long, frequent waits.
• Restaurant inside the water park (Giovanni ): We arrived at 3:00 PM. No wait for a table, but we were told only pasta was available, no pizzas, no salads. We ordered pasta for the family; 10 minutes later, the waitress returned to say pasta had also run out and only drinks were available. That’s unacceptable stock management for mid-afternoon.
•wellness spa:Large facilities, but no age restriction meant many teenagers constantly roaming around, which made it far less relaxing.
• Water Park: Fun for families, particularly best for kids under 8. Older kids/teens may find it limited.

Bottom line
While the breakfast and easy access to the water park worked for our children, the overall experience didn’t match the price. The room/view we paid for wasn’t provided, cleanliness was lacking, and operational issues (dining queues, elevator capacity, restaurant stock) undermined the stay. At minimum, a refund of the park-view surcharge or equivalent compensation would be appropriate given the discrepancy between what was booked and what we received.

I have not expected this combination of price/value at that place of Slovakia

Very new hotel. Large rooms with balcony, nice design and view. Comfortable bed and linen. Perfect for SPA and Thermal bathing. Refrigerator, microwave oven and all stuff for self service (cooking).
