Very good location for families

Don’t get carried caught with flies on you Excellent hotel resort. Lots to do. Mostly included in the price. However, you have to pay extra for spa pool , tennis and more well known drinks. By the pool we were sometimes pestered by flies. Don’t let them stay on you as they bite!!

A terrific experience. The staff were lovely and the price incredibly reasonable given that the room had a small kitchenette, living room and bedroom. The gardens of the hotel were spectacular and beautifully kept. Really recommended if you stay on the island.

Nice apartment with balcony and simple cooking facilities. Great food with lots of choice at the buffet. Loved the seawater pool, nice size for swimming in and plenty of room. Lovely hotel with beautiful gardens and large pool. Apartments are large, comfortable and quiet. Excellent breakfast with many options. Very helpful staff. We would stay here again.

The rooms are arranged in blocks around the grounds. They are spacious with a kitchenette, sitting area and balcony as well as bedroom and ensuite bathrooms. The gardens are green and lush with beautiful trees, shrubs and water features. The pool area is excellent with plenty of loungers and towels for hotel guests. Not as photos on website! :( Our "premium room" is ok inside, but the tiny paved "terrace" looks out on stinky rubbish bins, the road, a chain link fence and an untidy mass of invasive ****. The receptionist claimed it is an "upgrade" because, "you can see the sea" (if you look beyond the untidy, smelly mess!) It's not what we came for. After initial issues with room on arrival, these were sorted. Food good , we had half board and enjoyed our dinners, especially when served by Arleny and Moises who were exceptional. Breakfast good too. We enjoyed our stay and would go back.

You should know what you are going to get with Paradors - lovely building, quality accommodation and services and excellent food. So the La Palma parador does not disappoint. It is set above (and to the SW of) Santa Cruz and some rooms (superior) have balconies with great views over the sea. The hotel is pleasant, has plenty of places to sit, relax, and watch the ocean from above. In addition, there is an interesting garden just below the hotel that makes for a pleasant morning or evening stroll. Rooms are OK, but the service is good, and the food is excellent.

We enjoyed a very pleasant stay. Certainly loved the pool area and the quiet location amidst the banana plantation. Decor felt opulent though some of it shabby chic; lots of what appeared to be 18th and 19th century furniture and portraits of long dead Spanish nobles. Plenty of gold gilt. The hotel was gorgeous, with many interesting pieces of art and furniture. The location was exactly as described, set among banana plantations, but the lovely surprise was that it was still within a few strides of the local town (which was also gorgeous). This hotel is in a great location surrounded by banana plantations. It's a very special place and every member of staff is friendly and kind, always ready to help. We loved the elegant decor and the beautiful, tranquil garden with the swimming pool (although on the small side) and, of course, the jacuzzi.
