Hotels in Aguadulce

I was worried by all the negative reviews so was pleasantly surprised. The hotel is perfectly situated, I had a sea view and could hear the waves from my balcony on the 11th floor. The staff were all hard working and they made everything work well. It is a 15-20 minute walk to the harbour which is peaceful in the daytime. Ten minute walk to the buses which run regularly to Almeria, well worth a visit...

Left 2 weeks ago, Steer clear from this hotel if your English, none of the staff with be polite to you, especially the lifeguard round the pool, Spanish guests can do what they want, English guests just get glared at. Be prepared for the Spanish guests to push in front of you at meal times as they also have no respect, food choices are diabolical and never hot. Never again will I stay at this hotel...

Another great stay at the Portomagno. It has been taken over (yet again) by a different brand but almost the same quality. A few minor savings have been made, jams and honey at breakfast now via a pump, no choice of different lakes of bread, just sliced or French bread, I do miss the lovely brown fresh loaves , but still brilliant for the money. The cafe/ bar on the reception floor closed at 9 ...

The facilities were average, the room was hot, the dining room was dirty, etc. The food was not very varied, the pasta was bland and the tomato sauce was watery and tasteless. They gave you leftover food from the day before. There were also quite a few mosquitoes, my whole body was covered in mosquito bites. I do not recommend the hotel.

Everything was great, we were delighted. A family-friendly hotel with everything taken care of.

Small hotel. Room was clean. However the aircon was not functioning and it wasn’t repaired during the stay.

Lovely hotel, with nice friendly staff. The room was spotlessly cleaned every day and the cleaning lady deserves a big thank you as she found my husbands wallet, which had fell under the bed, which we were not aware of at the time. She left it on the bed. So very trustworthy staff. Drinks are plentiful and snacks in various locations around the hotel. There is always something to eat and help yourself...

I use to go to this hotel. It is fantastic. Every year is geting better and better. It is so clean that you feel you are at Home. Perfect for family holidays

Short flight, nice hotel, updated our room and it was amazing, excellent view, so big, clean and we had a butler, if we needed them. Breakfast was lovely. We ate out lunch and evening meal, all restaurants were good on the front. Although it was a hot week, the pool was shut as it was our of season but the beach is across the road. Lovely break. Reception very helpful and friendly.

Nice rooms. Two pools. Good breakfast. Beach side restaurant. Fabulous views from balcony. Be aware you cannot walk anywhere so either need a car or taxis to go to Almeria or Aguadulce.

Room was bright, view was epic. Pool bar an absolute rip off. Limited choice and non flexible menu. Taking advantage of no other eatery in the area.Noise all night from other rooms. Car parking good but expensive. My top tip. Take sandwiches !

The property is great, all rooms are facing the sea and the views are breathtaking. There are two swimming pools, the beach ⛱️ is just below the hotel. The room was fantastic, two queen beds and a balcony overlooking the Cabo de Gata. Great spot to enjoy the sea and relax

Great hotel. Staff and food excellent. All bedrooms have a sea view, as have both the bar and restaurant. Only thing to be aware of is the number of steps down to and up from both the swimming pool (with pool bar and terrace) and the lovely pebble beach (with crystal clear water and bar) It is possible to avoid the steps almost entirely by walking around on the road from the hotel entrance. Hi there, this is a great hotel but its miles from anywhere. You cant walk on the main road there are no pavements and it is dangerous. Its manily spanish there , while we stayed there for ten nights met only one english couple.

Awesome location by the water, easy walk to the paseo and town; great service; did not take any meals at the hotel so can't comment; room was spacious and spotless - coffee and well appointed; my only beef would be with the gym - it was subpar and located right next to rooms and you're not supposed to use it before 10:00 am (I am usually exploring by 10).

The hotel is in a great location. Our room was spotless, super king bed. We upgraded to a harbour view, it was well worth it.

The check in was seamless. We were advised of the possibility to upgrade our room to a marina view which we did. Our room was spotless and fabulous view

3 days and an amazing place to stay. The most comfortable spacious noise proof room and balcony. The room had a small fridge. Most staff were very helpful and the whole property was extremely clean. Easy walk to cafes and restaurants nearby. We got a harbour facing room thankfully as the other view is of the cliff and road. Maybe worth requesting when booking as the view is excellent. Parking is expensive...

A really lovely place to stay, however, not much to do nearby. If you have your own mode of transport then this place is worth it. Very modern, unique, beautiful hotel and lovely settings/surrounds, still well taken care of.

Truly magnificent interiors. Feels like something out of a period movie. I love the interiors. Staff are very nice and this was a good find. Dinner was good.

I would recommend this hotel if you love golfing or a convenient stay outside of the town. Our room was incredible with a hot tub and super spacious. Lovely spa day with really good facilities, would recommend at least 2 hours to get full use if everything. Each feature in the spa has a number to guide you through the best order to use them in, with descriptions in English and Spanish. Flip flops, a towel and a swimming cap are required, but can be rented from reception. Really friendly staff.

This is a lovely hotel and the apartments were clean and comfortable. We stayed the week before Easter and the place was empty though. The pool and shuttle bus were not open as it was out of season (?) So we were cut off from everywhere as we had no car. Ot was a €60 trip to town in a taxi and €30 to the nearest shops. The reception staff were very helpful and the cleaning ladies efficient and polite...

Great rooms, really friendly staff and a great location

We were pleasantly surprised by the place. Fell in love with the interior garden that is so well kept. Staff were friendly and location was central. We were always able to find a parking and the rooms were clean and tidy with all the essentials.

Great hotel when having access to car. Free chocolate/coffee next to reception. Close to Carrefour. Parking is accessible but public (but there’s usually plenty). Always clean every day even if we left the room late some days. Near highway. Location 4 stars only due to not so beautiful views. But again it’s great when you have access to a car.

Room was good, bed comfy and quiet. The surrounding area was tacky breakfast was abundant but average quality check in was helpful. We arrived at 5pm and no real restaurants near were open till 8pm so ended up at burger king and a very poor meal.. disappointing

Room a good size and clean. Well equipped with a mini fridge and good size tv, along with a/c. Staff very friendly and helpful, even a little welcome gift for our dog

Quite surprised. Once you take the elevator up to the 2nd level - you will find reception. Nice clean large area. Check in super quick, staff nice - then took a 2nd elevator to level 4 for a modern very clean room.

Loved the large bed. The rooms are clean and spacious. Unfortunately some people think it's acceptable to smoke at the window, so you may get second hand smoke in your room if you have your window open. Some of the towels had stains and didn't smell fresh.
