Description

Bakour La Manga Splash is a 4-star hotel located in La Manga del Mar Menor, offering a wide variety of room types from Standard Single rooms to Family Suites with sea views. The hotel features modern facilities including a water park, a large pool area with ample sun loungers, and a pool bar, though the latter is sometimes subject to local restrictions. Guests have access to free parking, a restaurant with a buffet breakfast, and a bar on site. While the hotel has a 7/10 overall rating, reviews indicate mixed experiences: some praise the attentive staff and spacious pool area, while others note issues with cleanliness and maintenance. The hotel allows pets in its services list, but policies explicitly prohibit pets on the premises. For families, there are rooms designed to accommodate children, although extra beds cannot be added. A security deposit of €200 is required at check-in. Despite some operational challenges, Bakour La Manga Splash remains a functional option for travelers seeking beach proximity and varied accommodation options in La Manga.

Location

The hotel is situated at Gran Via De La Manga, Km 14, approximately 270 meters from Playa Ensenada del Esparto beach, making it convenient for beachgoers. It lies just 7 km from MJV Airport (San Javier), facilitating easy access for travelers flying in. Nearby dining options include Restaurant «The good taste» at 160 meters, rated 6/10, and Restaurant «El Pulpito» at 268 meters, which has a higher rating of 8/10. The hotel's location offers a quiet setting away from busy central areas but still within walking distance of eateries and shopping. Guests can enjoy views of Puerto Tomás Maestre, though reaching destinations like Cabo de Palos requires about a 30-minute drive in light traffic.

I had my doubts, as the reviews weren't great, but we decided to go anyway. It was a good experience; the hotel is modern and beautiful. It's located in a quiet area and parking is easy. The breakfast was quite comprehensive. The staff was very attentive and quickly resolved any issues. Marjoline, the receptionist, was lovely. The maintenance guy was super efficient. The pool bar is closed due to a ban by the Murcia government. If I had to find a fault, the pool area is a bit dirty because the wind blows down small palm fronds constantly. Overall, it was a good experience. We'll be back.

The hotel is fine, but it has many shortcomings that they'll need to address if they don't want to close like the previous property. The first thing they need to improve is cleanliness. There's years of dirt in common areas and rooms, and deterioration that should be fixed, such as the leaky elevator carpet. Furthermore, room cleaning is done quickly and haphazardly, without changing the water in the bucket. The sheets aren't changed for six days unless you tell them to, the balcony isn't swept or the windows cleaned... there's no control or supervision over room cleanliness, and it shows. The pool and slides are very good. There are plenty of sun loungers and umbrellas, and a pool bar. The worst thing is the pool restrooms, which are unlit and smell awful, and the permissiveness of drinking alcohol in the water and smoking in the pool, throwing ash into the pool. It's shocking because you're not allowed to eat in the pool area, but you are allowed to drink and smoke. The security guards are three young men who don't want to do much work; their job is limited to sitting and kicking people out of the pool at 7:15 p.m. The restaurant service is very good. There isn't much variety, but the eight food platters are all quality. There's a salad bar, a show cooking area, and a dessert area, which only offers melon, pineapple, or watermelon, not a single piece of other fruit. And ice cream in a tub of chocolate or cream-and-coffee ice cream—this is the limited variety I'm referring to, and it wouldn't cost much to change it. Water is free if you don't have all-inclusive options. At reception, they didn't explain anything to us; they charged us and said the room would be ready by 2:00 p.m. and if it was earlier, they'd let us know. At 1:00 p.m., we went to try our luck, and there were six rooms to be booked, but no one called. The best people at reception are Raúl and Nuria; the rest spend their time on the computer and spending the day, honestly. As for entertainment, there are only some nights with singers, who announce they start at 9:30 pm and then start at 10 pm or change it without warning or explaining why. There's no children's entertainment, no play area, no pool table, not even a measly children's arcade machine, nothing. The bartender on the terrace and in the entertainment area is very good and makes some delicious cocktails. The all-inclusive is a good option, although don't think there's much variety. Drinks, meals, and some ice cream are included. It's a hotel with many possibilities, but for that, you have to want to improve, and in eight days, I didn't see any desire to change or improve. The manager walks from his office to the dining room but shows little empathy with the guests.

Half of the advertised service is fake. There's no spa, no showers at the pools, and no restrooms; there's only one pool available. Meal times are limited, like the buffet, although the food is good. You can hear everything in the rooms; they're not soundproofed. The all-inclusive package varies depending on the day and time of day. The only good thing is the staff. They're not 4-star, they're 4-starred.

It's not at all clear what's included in the TI. One day some drinks, the next day different ones, and the next day they change the TI again. They've opened with many shortcomings and many shortcomings. They don't allow staff to have a drink with customers after work and on a personal basis, but the managers and owners are allowed to have a drink with customers and stop the waiters' preparations so you can make your own, and the customers can wait. What a management team, setting an example and showing sanity.

Horrible! The cleaning ladies and the receptionist robbed me. I left clothes in the closet and they didn't identify anything. It was a disaster! I left the room to be cleaned and my things disappeared. I was very clear about what I was carrying, so I quickly realized my belongings were gone. The owner of that hotel didn't care. I saw him and told him about the situation, and he looked away.

Connivance location to beach area and mar minor, cafes and shopping is walking distance. I prefer hotel over renting an apartment. Same price without the headache of cleaning, room service is available every day. Highly recommended for the L manga fan

Spectacular value for money. The hotel cost us €111 per night for four people in a junior suite. The hotel could be improved, but the quality is very good for the price. There are good views of Puerto Tomás Maestre. The main drawback is that it's located at km 14, and it takes 30 minutes to reach Cabo de Palos by car in light traffic.

Great place on the end of La Manga. Close to the Mediterranean beach and very close to the port, where you will find an outstanding sunset and pretty good food options.

Great pool, although they allows people from outside (even after dozen of signs stating that was forbidden, I found non guests there.

Amazing breakfast, full of fresh and hands made options

A great hotel to enjoy a few days of relaxation. Right near the beach and with a wonderful pool where you can have a beer, a mojito... just like you're in the Caribbean. But the best part is the staff: super friendly, always smiling, quick to resolve any issues, and interested in making sure everything is to your liking. We especially interacted with Gema and Dulce at the pool and Kadhija at reception. A 10 for the whole team.

Once You figure out things then ok. But room was 45 C degrees when we got there, took two hours to cold. Toilet leaking. is like. 4 start but deprecated.
