I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the entire team at Hotel Campoamor for making my visit to Oviedo an unforgettable experience.
First and foremost, I want to highlight the Assistant Director, whose warm welcome and valuable recommendations regarding the city’s landmarks and gastronomy made all the difference from the very beginning.
My special thanks to María at the front desk for her kindness and for taking the time to help me with my airline arrangements; her efficiency and approachable manner gave me great peace of mind. I also want to recognize the young woman in charge of breakfast, whose positive energy and dedication to service brighten up the mornings.
Finally, my appreciation goes to the housekeeping staff for keeping our room impeccable every day. Thank you all for your professionalism and warmth. I hope to return soon!

An expensive and average 3 star hotel that claims to be 4. No internet in my room (301)and the receptionist just seems to find it okay and that I should go downstairs if I need a connection. How can you in this day and age not get this fixed after so many complaints here???Breakfast is one of the most basic I’ve ever seen, and my room was tiny, dark and miserable. I got a much better deal in Oviedo for the same price,

Great location from old town to visit walking all attractions and even a park. The hotel has a public parking place at 2 minutes walking distance. Wifi inside the rooms is perfect. Breakfast is of good quality and variety with gluten and lactose free options

We had problems since the air condtioning was not on. We had to sleep with our windows open. And this is end of May. Temperature we’re not that cold!

Generally I was quite dissatisfied with my stay a this hotel; however, the older of the two men on the front desk (bearded) was friendly, professional and courteous. The other guy...not so much...

There were two elevators - only one of which served the top floor (6th). It was also shared with the cleaning staff and involved a long wait.

We chose the suite and regretted it. The most obvious issue relates to the room's design. The toilet (no sink) is in one room and the shower and sinks share the same space as the living area. The shower is circular and is positioned right in the middle of the room. Now, this may have sounded like a good idea in theory but it is a white elephant. First of all the electronic door has a life of its own. It may close properly and more often than not it will not! The surrounding floor looks like it has been flooded many times. Sometimes there is much wiggling of the controls to get out of the damn thing. It really is useless.

In terms of other gripes about the room. There was no 'Do Not Disturb' sign, which meant the cleaner arrived unannounced at least twice. We finally got a sign on the last day. There was no bottle opener or corkscrew - we had to queue up at reception several times to have a bottle of wine opened. On one occasion the young man at reception was happy to answer the phone and take down a booking (several minutes) while serving someone at the counter but he was unable (more like unwilling) to pass me the corkscrew that was secreted under the reception counter like it was Crown Jewels.

Breakfast is served in the basement, and it feels like it. Not a bad selection of the usual Spanish breakfast suspects, but the scrambled eggs on the other hand looked like they had been cooked the day before. It was the same each morning of our stay. Rubbery would be charitable.

Summary. Only recommended to those who wish to view the stupidest shower unit in Europe.

The hotel has a great location in Oviedo , but the main problem that the room has been Old, the bed and pillows old style furniture the light are not useful too much brightness .. second , you can smelled the food inside the room specially in the morning!!!!

We stayed here for two nights before starting the Camino Primitivo. The hotel was in a great location for the Camino and for everything in Oviedo. The room was really clean and had everything that we needed. The standout was the service though - every person was friendly, helpful and willing to deal with our very bad attempts at speaking Spanish. The man who worked there also had many great suggestions for places to eat and visit.

The place has good food. I really like their pizza. However, I will not be coming back because their service is terrible. Our waitress was rude and seemed to be upset the whole time. Servers aren't usually like that in Oviedo, so this was an unpleasant experience.
