simple check in from friendly and very chatty staff, lifts to all floors.my room had a very comfortable double bed, good storage and a mini fridge,a clean and tidy bathroom with a excellent shower and it was quiet especially at night. this hotel is in a good location be it you want to discover what this fine city has to offer or your on the caminho.
We stayed for one night in this hotel on our Camino walk. The hotel is very clean and the rooms are comfortable and just what you need after a long trek. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The little cafe on the ground floor was a real contribution, for snacks etc. The breakfast was plentiful and lots to choose from. Would certainly stay there again. Thank you.
Great location, with free public parking space close by and also private parking place inside the hotel, the breakfast is very good with gluten and lactose free options, wifi inside the room works very well
Nice hotel in Pontevedra. There is some parking beneath the hotel, a little tricky to find the right road for that and everything in the city is one way. We had a triple room which was very nice, view down the street. Everything was clean and well maintained. We ate in the restaurant after arriving late and while it was nothing too memorable it was a nice meal with a choice of Galician dishes...
Located near the town centre and other amenities of Pontevedra, this modern hotel offers clean spacious air-conditioned rooms, comfortable beds, free wifi, and a cheerful coffee shop/cafe and on-site restaurant. Staff are knowledgeable and graciously welcoming. Spanish, Galician, English and other languages.
Well located, excellent friendliness of the staff. Very good location. Good price on menus and breakfast in the cafeteria. Highly recommended

Great corner room - mini-suite actually, comfy bed and super breakfast. On the doorstep of the old town which is very pretty.
Parking across the street was easy . Room was nice, front desk fantastic, cafeteria good
Air conditioner did not work. We opened windows but it was very noisy in the street.
Excellent location, clean and lovely hotel. Easy access to dining. Hotel staff was a little stuffy. We were pilgrims, but not scruffy or anything.
Great location in the heart of the historic area, close to a variety of restaurants and attractions. Paid parking across the street and restaurant on site if you don’t need a huge breakfast. Rooms are comfortable and with air conditioning. Great stay!
Great location and value. The room was clean and service was good. Room was comfortable though showing it’s age. Would book again!

Great help at the front! Room was cozy and had a view of outside with a little sitting area! I strongly recommend this hotel the woman at reception was extraordinarily helpful! Also the breakfast was yummy! They have a pool, I did not go but people were in suits so people were going!
In the middle of a tiny village that has two restaurants and a monastery. It's a bit of an eye sore when you come in walking the Camino de Santiago through the forest. Lovely rooms with private outside space with lawn chairs and mini table. Nice outdoor pool. Gave 3 stars for service because what we most wanted when we arrived after walking 25 km was a beer but they didn't serve any alcohol.
(From our stay in late Sep-24) Really smart modern hotel that I sort of got the impression might be struggling a little with their overheads unfortunately. Nevertheless, the twin room was an excellent size with good modern decor and some cool design choices in the bathroom. Very comfortable bedroom, and some nice extra touches as you would expect from a higher end hotel. Spotless throughout too. They...
We spent two days here. The staff was great! I appreciated the fruit selections from the breakfast! I would have loved to have a different kind of coffee and not Nespresso but that's really a small wish, not really something needed. The beds were amazing and the rooms in general were well worth the money.
The room was large and new. The bed very cofortable. Very nice breakfast. There is a pool and parking places. The receptionist, Santiago is very professional, speaks good english and helped us with recommendations about attractions and restaurants

This hotel is ideal if you are walking the Camino. The room was clean, quiet & functional. The breakfast @ €10 was excellent. The staff were efficient and friendly. Good value.
Very clean, quiet, nice staff decent buffet breakfast.
Excellent service, everything very clean and the room was great.
The room had a mini fridge which was useful and it has a supermarket right next door that opens from Monday to Saturday until 10 pm. The hotel is within walking distance from the bus/train stations (around 700 meters). The staff is friendly and professional.
Camino good location Decent sized room, good beds, out dated bathroom/shower with terrible doors, broken hair dryer.

In the center of Pontevedra close to everything with zero traffic noise - beautiful old classic hotel.
The hotel is located in an old local building, which I later discovered while strolling around was near a former shipyard along the coast, with a small square next door containing a monument to Columbus. This perfectly matched my travel theme of following Columbus and the Age of Exploration. I was very satisfied with the hotel's location. The hotel rooms were rather old and poorly soundproofed. In...
Beautiful property! Could use some small touches: 1) Kleenex or other tissues in the bathroom 2) Luxury items for the bathroom to match the property 3) Bar Snacks
We were only there briefly, but everything was fine and clean. The reception staff were very professional.
Beautiful historical property. Staff was courteous, but did not go out of their way to be helpful. Parking not as advertised - had to find public parking several blocks away from the hotel. GPS just provided a nearby location, had to ask for directions to reach the hotel.
Great beautiful quiet place. Bedding matress top quality. In a quiet area that is very accessible to all the other areas of the old town walking about 10 minutes maximum. Queen size beds in some rooms are made from two twin beds that don’t quite come together so there is a space between them.

The albergue is located at the entrance to the city, next to the train station. The city center is a 10-15-minute walk away. It's very spacious and the service is friendly. The rest is the same as other municipal albergues.
Good albergue. Clean. Next to railway station. Got very warm at night, people Next to windows closed them ,so soon warmed up .
lacking kitchen equipment and the fridge powered off overnight. otherwise a great cheap albergue slightly outside of pontevedra, be aware it will add an extra few KMs to your next day of walking
Great alburgue. Beds, bathrooms are fabulous and lavandaria option (habdwash and dry, or washing machine and dry) a real bonus. Aldi just a jump away next to the train station. Massage man was there, too for a donativo massage. Kitchen is a great set up and most pilgrims cooked their meal. Sabana's provided but nothing else. Showers great. In November, the dorm was too hot during the night. It just...
One of the best hostels to stay at during your walk to Santiago! Very clean and in great condition. They have everything you need: good bathrooms, nice showers, comfortable beds, a kitchen with all the essentials for cooking, and a washing machine available. You can also get a massage here. They’re not very close to the city center, though.
Very simple room, but very spacious and clean. Bedside reading lamps were the only things missing that we could have used. Great location right across the road from the railway station, and an easy 25-minute walk into the old town. The afternoon receptionist kindly assisted us in solving a problem with our reservation at the Alda hotel at our next destination, and we really appreciated that! We...

It's alright. Don't expect anything fancy. Rooms are somewhat tight but price is fair. Location is great.
Rooms were clean and was an ideal place to lay your head whilst on the camino de Santiago. Bar downstairs and the tapas with your drinks where outstanding and very fulling. Would stay again.
Very good for a one night stay. Clean, nice bathroom and good bed. Quite old and not very nice. Perfect location.

This is a clean and comfortable hotel which is walking distance to the old town with excellent customer service. Two of our family arrived with food poisoning and the husband and wife who manage the hotel were so kind. They let us stay on as long as we liked the next day and went to the pharmacy and bought us medication at their own expense.
I arrived early from my Camino. The lady on reception was absolutely wonderful, she gave me my room key and explained all about the hotel and told me some of the places to go for food, laundry. A really excellent first impression. Got to my room and it had everything I needed. Basic, but very clean, comfortable, comfy bed and fluffy pillows. The shower was excellent, just what I needed after a long...
Easy check in,friendly staff, basic room but comfortable with all necessary facilities. Breakfast was fine, lots of bread, cheese & coffee.
My son forgot clothes in his room and staff forwarded to our next hotel on our Camino Pilgrimage. The hotel was clean, convenient, and staff was helpful with suggestions for sites to see during our short stay. Breakfast was plentiful and good.
We spent the fourth evening of our 2024 Camino Portuguese at Hotel Avenida in Pontevedra. Our stay was good with the hotel in a commercial zone not far from the historic center of Pontevedra. For pilgrims, the hotel is on your entry into the city and about a block off the Camino. The hotel has two small elevators enabling bags to be transferred easily but can get busy in the morning as guests prepare...
We had a very friendly welcome! Were able to ckeck in early, which we weren’t in many of the other hotels we stayed at. Liked their commitment to the planet. Useful handout with highlights of the town. Spacious room. Good breakfast. Walking distance to city is less that 15 minutes.

The decor was dated and could really have done with a complete overhaul. Having said that, the bedroom was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was ok. For the facilities provided and the condition of the establishment, the hotel was not good value for money.
Very nice room, comfortable bed and lovely breakfast!
As a pilgrim, it met all my needs for the night! Was able to get a cappuccino at the hotel cafe!
Very clean, friendly staff. Propery is a little dated but large bathroom was appreciated. No AC but fan was provided and nice large window.
Walkable or short taxi ride from the bus/train stations. Hotel convient with both cafe and restaurant. Room was clean and well furnished. Staff were pleasant and helpful.
Good service, even that the front desk was under pressure, because Loya of check in’s at the same time.

My stay at Hotel Restaurante Ruas in Pontevedra was excellent from start to finish. A good value for money hotel right in the centre of town. Comfortable and clean. The accommodation is no-frills/simple, but the staff are so friendly. The staff make this hotel. Parking is easy: we off-loaded outside the front of the hotel and then were taken to the hotel’s private underground parking - not far from the hotel. We also found the hotel to be extremely dog-friendly. Would stay here again...
Arrived early as we only had a short leg of our Csmino. Our room was ready, and we were allowed to check in (although our bags hadn't arrived). we were very early. Greeted by friendly, helpful staff. The room was clean and comfortable. The next morning, we were served breakfast, which was fresh, tasty and adequate.
We had a lovely stay at Hotel Ruas. We arrived soaking wet after walking on the Camino. The receptionist was welcoming and booked us in for dinner that evening. Our room not massive but enough for us to relax, with a hot shower and comfortable bed. Dinner in the hotel restaurant was fixed price less than €20 for 3 courses.. the food was excellent. The breakfast next morning was served in their cafe...

Just on Camino entering city. Perfect stop. Few restaurants nearby and Aldi supermarket. Good price and size of room
Super friendly and helpful host and staff. Always upbeat and ready to provide assistance where needed. The rooms were clean and large with air conditioning.
Pretty good stay considering the other reviews. It feels more like a simple hotel then a hostel. Front desk wasn't super warm but efficient. Rooms are nice and comfy (much better than expected). It lacks a communal kitchen and there's only a sad table to eat in the laundry space. It's close to few restaurants but it's not in the center of town. Breakfast available in the cafeteria next door (but we...
The owner is friendly, though quite strict about check-in times. The facilities are fairly basic, so it’s best not to expect too much. There’s also no air conditioning. If you need to check out early, you can simply leave the key in the box at the reception

Great location in the very center of the old town with all of the interesting attractions in walking distance. Friendly and responsive staff. Warm and cozy room cleaned every day. All the facilities working perfectly
Spent a night here on the Camino. Check in was easy and friendly - complimentary large bottle of water. Noise from street was expected - not great but they had double windows and shutters so not much more they would do! Comfy beds and a clean bathroom. The most annoying thing was the sound of some sort of pump that came on and off a million times in the night - that was way more annoying than the street...
A great hotel along the Caminho. They stored our bikes inside and we had a comfortable room that was in a convenient location. The staff was friendly and accommodating. They allowed us an early check-in, which was extremely kind considering the rain we had traveled through. The continental breakfast was a good start the next day.
What an amazing place to stay! Check in was very easy and extremely welcoming. The front desk assistant went above and beyond to welcome us after ohh long day. The room was so warm and spacious. We had breakfast in the restaurant and we were very pleased. We had a fantastic dinner at a restaurant less than 100 ft away. We will definitely return to stay here!
The lady that checked me in presented me with a cold liter bottle of water which was a very nice touch. Rooms were small but very clean. Located in center of town with many eating places nearby. Right on the Camino.
Great property staff where very accommodating..and helpful..room was very large...beds comfortable..excellent location. Only negative it is in a main thoroughfare and so is very noisy at night..so request a room at the back ..they did supply earplugs

A very well-maintained and fully equipped house. Well located and very quiet. The pool is ideal. A lovely little front garden and a fantastic BBQ. There is parking both inside and outside. Yolanda is a wonderful host. In the area there is only a small bar, supermarket, and pharmacy. The larger town of Ponte Caldelas, with everything you need, is about 5 km away. Highly recommended.
Magical place! A very pleasant stay. We were in contact with the manager at all times, who offered us every assistance! Clean, quiet, and ideal place!! I definitely recommend it!
Nine days, nine days disconnected and in paradise. Sara's home has made our vacation unforgettable. It's a corner of Galicia created with all the love in the world: garden, fountain, pool, barbecue, bedrooms—everything is decorated with love. The house is fantastic and has everything you could need. Thank you so much, Yolanda, for sharing your beautiful home with us. It was wonderful.

The owners are very kind and make you feel at home and provide all the information you need. There's a wonderful walk in the woods nearby that runs alongside a pristine stream where you can swim—not to be missed!
