Really friendly staff who made the check in process smooth.They were also helpful in recommending places to eat and things to do in Gothenburg. Breakfast selection was good as well.

Room a little small

The hotel’s location is excellent — just a short walk from the central station, which made getting around very convenient. However, I was disappointed by a few aspects of the stay. The hotel provides grey towels, which I found unappealing; white towels generally give a better sense of cleanliness. Breakfast was adequate, though some of the fruit offered was of poor quality.

I also had concerns about the room’s cleanliness. After our first night, it didn’t seem like the room had been thoroughly cleaned — the drinking glasses we had used weren’t replaced, and some visible stains we had accidentally made were not wiped down. Additionally, the iron in the room tripped the power on both occasions we tried to use it, which was quite frustrating.

The refrigerator in our room wasn’t working properly, so the drinks we stored inside remained warm. I also found the 11:00 a.m. checkout time to be inconvenient, as a later checkout would have allowed for a more relaxed departure.

The first stop of this business trip was Gothenburg Airport, where the bus came directly. The last stop was next to it, and it took only six or seven minutes to walk to Gothenburg Central Station. The hotel entrance was under renovation, and the facilities were OK. The room was average size, which was the regular European style. You needed to bring your own disposable toothbrush and slippers. The breakfast was OK. I arrived early, communicated with the front desk, and arranged a room.

Pros: The hotel is a converted historic post office building. The lobby is very interesting. There is also a post office box. The breakfast is very delicious. Many people gather for dinner in the bar and restaurant on the first and second floors every night. It should taste good too.
Disadvantages: The room is very small, there is a lot of dust on the curtains, the windows cannot be opened, and the comfort is not high.

Super great hotel! It is recommended to book a superior room of 30 square meters, which is really large in Northern Europe. It is very cost-effective. The superior room has enough space to separate the bathtub and shower. It has double sinks and is very comfortable overall.
The toiletries have a very special smell, and the Chinese character "Jing" on the bottle is very friendly. The hygiene is very good, and the cleaning staff is also very easy to communicate with. Even if the room is full of people on weekends, the cleaning is very fast!
The breakfast is good. There are free coffee machines on each floor, milk plant milk, as well as croissants, sandwiches, and snacks for you to enjoy. This is very special! You can enjoy the centuries-old castle architecture without leaving the hotel!
The rooftop swimming pool is said to be good but I didn’t go there. I might give it a try next time!
The location is undoubtedly the best choice for taking the train. The train station is very convenient for business and there are many restaurants and supermarkets. Accommodation is very convenient!
Gothenburg is not big, but the Volvo Museum and the Art Museum are more worth visiting!

The restaurant on the second floor of the hotel! delicious! The sommelier is an Italian guy who is very talkative and knowledgeable about wine. The wine pairings he recommends are very good! It would be great to stay in this hotel and go directly to the second floor for dinner. The set menu is also very cheap at four to five hundred Swedish krona per person for three or four dishes, but I personally prefer a la carte! Recommended raw beef tartare is delicious! Fried artichokes are delicious too! Flounder is also good! Highly recommend this restaurant!
