Hotel Fridhem in Stockholm

Clean, comfortable and functional. Not luxurious but perfectly adequate.
Good breakfast.
Good transport links to centre.
Vibrant locale.

Not bad
Cheap, not bad, but don't expect too much. It is somewhat hard to find out, how to get to the reception. You need to call the reception by the box that is on the street. Don't go straight to the second floor trusting to the sign "Reception, 2:nd floor" because its door may be closed and without a door bell. Silly, I think.

Good position for everything we needed. But on arrival we were told that they only clean every 4 days unless we asked on a daily basis before 7pm . We did ask , but they "forgot " . So we thought they'd clean on the 4th day anyway. But again they "forgot" . We were in Stockholm to visit various family members and were often back well after 7pm, and did not want to spend time chasing up housekeeping. We don't mind making our own bed but by the end of our visit our waste paper basket was overflowing and mugs provided for tea were heavily stained. And the carpet in our corridor needed a good clean.
On the plus side our room was very clean when we arrived, and it was nicely decorated And the breakfast provided was fine. The staff we met were all very pleasant and helpful.
There is a horrible smell (drains?) As you enter the hotel, but I assume that is beyond their control.
