It is a good hotel in an excellent location. Staff is friendly and polite. My only issue is how very dark the rooms are. The few lights in the room are very dim. No doubt an energy saving effort, but still, anyone over 50 would have a hard time reading a book by the lights over the bed.

Very nice hotel, modernly decorated, everything fresh and good service. Fantastic breakfast with everything you could wish for, nice arrangements and nice atmosphere. Good room, however high noise level of AC (maybe it could be adjusted?) but slept well anyway!

Sweaty We stayed durung some hot and humid summer days. Window can only be opened a tiny bit, no airconditioning and small room. Very sweaty experience. There is also a lot of noise from the highway but this would only be an issue in the summer with open window. Big carpark and good breakfast. Very friendly frontdesk.

Excellent for staying the night with your kids

It was a great weekend stay for us. Staffs are friendly and welcoming and patient with my kids noise. Hotel has a play area for kids which is super great and other stuffs to do. Great breakfast too ;) Definitely will come back whenever will be in Uppsala.

Breakfast was awesome! Supper meal average. Room good but placed on first floor. As single traveler did not feel safe to open window. Room very hot even with oscillating fan on high. Beds good. Shower terrific. Parking good.

Very family friendly hotel! The kids had so much to do in the hotel so we didn't even have to go somewhere else.

A good hotel, conveniently located for a quick night stay at Uppsala.

The Scandic Uplandia is around 10 minute walk from Upplsala railway station. The rooms are reasonably large with a good bathroom and shower. The breakfast was excellent, with a wide range of hot and cold options. There is also a gym and sauna. The gym is quite small, but everything was in good working order. Overall, an excellent hotel, which was also very good value.

I stayed with my family on a trip to Uppsala for a conference. The “family room” was two single beds and a pull-down bunk. With the bunk pulled down there was very little space in the room. With temperatures in the mid-to-low 20s the air conditioning did not get the room cool enough at night. The room did not have a fridge. The location is great as was the (included) daily breakfast.

Acceptable hotel in the middle of Uppsala. Plain and simple rooms. The main advantage is the location in central Uppsala with walking distances to everything.

I liked that this property was right in the middle of Uppsala. It was really easy to get around to see other things, and there were many great food options available surrounding the hotel. Our rooms were very big in comparison to other hotels we had in Sweden. However, there was no refrigerator in our room. I'm not sure if we had to ask for one or not.

The room was clean. But no fridge, no kettle in the room.

The room felt as it was no clean. For the price, I expected to have tea or cofeee in the room, at least.

The room was cozy with the beds being very comfortable. Looking out of the window you have a view on the hemköp supermarket with people shopping there. Everything is very clean, tidy and quiet. The breakfast was delicious and had everything I could have wished for. Especially liked the spiced christmas bread. Loved it! Will stay here again in the future.

Okay, I'll list the good stuff first. The staff was courteous and helpful. It was an abundant breakfast bar. The rates were competitive. The bed was comfortable. Very nice place with great staff, easy/walkable activities and sights (the river walk us around the corner). Parking is listed as available, but that's only if you request it "months in advance". Excellent location in the city centre of the Uppsala city. Everything is walking distance, from tourist spot to shopping or restaurant. Service is so good, breakfast is super tasty and really best! Added was my room having the dome view! They have an in house kitchen which you can use for cooking your own. Value for money, it was a good basic room with comfortable beds. Nice view of the church in the center of Uppsala. The bathroom was a little old and small, but functional. A basic breakfast, we would love to see some more green options (big plus for pancakes). We got an early check in wish was appreciated. A bit noisy in the corridors during the day/morning.

We had arrived late in the evening from the airport. Had to call a number who let us in explaining kindly on how to pick up a key from a box. that was helpful. The room they gave was unmade and was yet to be cleaned. Another call helped get a clean room. I had a twin room on the 1st floor overlooking the street. I enjoyed the vibe and busyness of the street which quietened down at a reasonable hour. The room had pretty much everything you needed (except for body lotion which would be handy). The bathroom was a great size and had great water pressure and temperature. Fantastic location. Super close to all the big ticket Uppsala sights and right near the bus stop for Gamla Uppsala. The staff were super friendly and we got a free upgrade. Breakfast is included and has many hot and cold options. Rooms were clean and well sized. Would definitely recommend.

If you're looking for the height of luxury this is not it! If it's just somewhere to get your head down then you're good to go. The rooms are tiny and no windows but the place is clean and has all that you need including breakfast. The staff are helpful and polite and you're a stones throw away from everything. Shops. Bars. Restaurants and the train station. I would certainly stay there again.

The rooms have no windows, and the ladders to the top bunks are poorly designed—it almost feels like a step is missing. The room was cosy, warm, clean. Happy to find tea and coffee in a well-appointed shared kitchen. It is weird staying in a place where you don't see another human in four days, but the facilities were all I needed for a comfortable business trip. Close to station.

Staying at a hostel I wasn't used to staying in hostels, but after I got used to it, it was great. Excellent breakfast, the facilities were very good.

Charming but very simple and a bit run down. More like a hostel than a hotel.

500 m walk to breakfast (which in itself was a bit basic) was a bit inconvenient.

Overall I was happy. However, initiall check in was difficult , but luckily I had a friend who spoke Swedish, and telephoned for access. The room was nice, but needed a kettle and a cup and glass.

Lovely staff, great location, thoughtful touches in the hotel like cosy seating areas with blankets. My room was perfect, and looked out onto the cathedral spires. I was very happy to see plant-based milk and butter at breakfast with a few other vegan additions too. Highly recommend and I’d definitely go back.

Tiny Bathroom Overall, our stay at Akademi Hotellet was wonderful. The rooms are comfortable, the location is perfect, the breakfasts nice and the staff was awesome. The only downside is the tiny bathrooms. But then it is a very old building and the conversion into a hotel was what they could make of it. Overall, enjoyed our stay as it was close to many of the most interesting attractions in Uppsala

A comfortable stay in a pleasant hotel conveniently situated in the city.

This is a former (or maybe even present?) hospital's guesthouse, and still feels like one, so don't expect a spa or a bar or a room service. But it is a really quiet place with comfy beds and all the basic amenities. The breakfast room can double as a reading room :-) There is even a fridge upstairs, and the rarely seen staff is very kind. The bonus is the grocery shop across the street which is open...

The staff were so friendly and helpful, always smiling and ready to assist with anything I needed. My room was cozy and well maintained, which made my stay very comfortable. Hotel Stella was one of the most welcoming and comfortable hotel’s I have ever stayed in. The rooms were relaxed and cozy. The owner was always available and friendly. The breakfast buffet was fresh with a nice array of cheeses/meats, cereal, fruit, and cultured milk products. I spent a comfortable week there while visiting friends in Uppsala.

The room was clean, tidy, and the bed was comfy! I loved the free breakfast, it helped start my morning right. It was a great place to relax and have a couple zoom meetings between visiting family. The location was great, totally walkable. I’ll be back next time.

Outstanding lecture hall, good food. But if you can fill the hall, the number of parking and bathrooms is definitely a constraint for the amount of people the hall can sit.

Attending a doctor's conference this week at Victoria's, I have to say that the staff are very sympathetic and friendly.

Visited for a quick lunch, three different choices was on the days menu. With a small but fresh salads bar. All in all a very nice lunch. The food was very good.
