Athita the Hidden Court Hotel in Chiang Rai City

The room was clean and quiet, with a great atmosphere. It's also close to tourist attractions.

Cannot smoke in the private garden

A modern hotel on the backstreets of Chiang Saen a short walk from the river. Constructed of brick it is an interesting structure and we had a nice welcome from the helpful staff. Our room was quite small with little storage space. The bathroom only had a shower and unfortunately the shower attachment was broken so the height could not be changed. Lots of hot water but a bit awkward. The bed was on a raised platform and was very comfortable. The shower issue was reflective of other problems. The sliding windows would not open, the fitting for the key to activate power to the room fell off the wall (sellotape indicated not for the first time) and the toilet seat was loose. Along with window frames looking in need of treatment it all suggested that some maintenance work is needed. A highlight was the dinner restaurant where some delicious food was beautifully presented by friendly staff. Scraping 4 stars mainly because of the food and charming staff. Room alone would be 3 stars.

Our two night stay at this boutique hotel was really lovely. The property is entirely built of teak wood in the traditional Lanna style , whose atmosphere can be felt throughout both the indoor and outdoor spaces . The remains of ancient temples overlooking one of the courtyard add even more character to the property. Our room- the Lotus suite- reflected the style of the hotel : it was entirely wooden but equipped with modern comforts and even had a small private garden. Its highly polished wooden floors invited us walking barefooted , adding to the charm. The tranquil , elegant and serene atmosphere encouraged quietness and relaxation . The restaurant was very good and we enjoyed excellent local cuisine, served in style, both at breakfast and dinner Anna & Francesco - Italy

สวัสดีครับ วันนี้ผมจะพาไปพักผ่อน นอนบูทีคโฮเทลสไตล์ล้านนาแท้ๆ ที่ทั้งเงียบ สงบ และเต็มไปด้วยเสน่ห์ของ “เชียงแสนเมืองเก่า” Athita The Hidden Court Boutique Hotel เชียงแสน คือหนึ่งในที่ที่ผมอยากให้ลองมาพักสักครั้ง ที่นี่ซ่อนตัวอยู่ในเมืองเชียงแสน จังหวัดเชียงราย ไม่ไกลจากริมโขง และรายล้อมด้วยโบราณสถานสำคัญมากมาย พื้นที่เดิมเคยเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของ “วัดอาทิตต้นแก้ว” วัดเก่าแก่กว่า 500 ปี ซึ่งก็เป็นที่มาของชื่อ “อาทิตา” อีกด้วย ทำให้ทั้งบรรยากาศและพลังของสถานที่นี้ มีความนิ่ง สงบ แต่เต็มไปด้วยเรื่องราว งานออกแบบของโรงแรมเป็นสไตล์ร่วมสมัย ที่ผสานกลิ่นอายล้านนาได้สวยมาก วัสดุหลักคืออิฐมอญ ไม้สัก และวัสดุธรรมชาติในท้องถิ่น ทุกดีเทลตั้งใจ วางแสงได้ดีมากจนทุกมุมมีเสน่ห์ ทั้งหน้าต่างบานเล็ก ทางเดินอิฐ หรือโถงบันไดไม้ เป็นความเรียบง่ายที่ยิ่งมองยิ่งอบอุ่น ที่พักมีทั้งหมด 9 ห้อง และพูลวิลล่าอีก 3 หลัง ผมได้พักแบบ 2 Bedrooms Pool Villa ซึ่งตั้งแยกเป็นส่วนตัว ตัววิลล่าเล่นระดับสองชั้น เน้นงานไม้และผนังอิฐ ชั้นล่างโปร่งสบาย เพราะใช้ประตูกระจกบานใหญ่รอบด้าน รับแสงธรรมชาติทั้งวัน ภายในกว้างขวางมาก มีทั้งโซน Living, Smart TV, โต๊ะทานอาหาร ไปจนถึงครัวที่ใช้งานได้จริง อุปกรณ์ครบ โดยเฉพาะเครื่องใช้ไฟฟ้า Smeg ที่จัดวางเข้ากับโทนครัวแบบสวย และละมุนจนคนรักงานออกแบบต้องยิ้มเลย ผมว่ามันไม่ได้เป็นแค่ของใช้ แต่เป็นส่วนหนึ่งของดีไซน์ชัดๆ ด้านนอกเป็นโซนชิลที่ผมชอบที่สุด ทั้งเปลชิงช้า Sun Bed และสระว่ายน้ำส่วนตัวขนาดใหญ่ ได้นั่งฟังเสียงนก มองต้นไม้ไหวๆ คือฟีลพักใจแบบที่ตามหาเลย ส่วนชั้นบนเป็น 2 ห้องนอนแยกเป็นสัดส่วน ห้องหนึ่งเป็นคิง อีกห้องเป็นทวิน ทั้งคู่ตกแต่งโทนอุ่น ใช้เฟอร์นิเจอร์ไม้เรียบง่ายแต่ดีเทลดีมาก มีห้องน้ำในตัวทั้งสองห้อง Facilities ก็ครบ - ทั้งสระน้ำเกลือที่ล้อมด้วยต้นไม้ - ห้องสมุด มุมจิบชา กิจกรรมที่นี่มีให้เลือกหลายอย่าง เช่น - ปั่นจักรยานชมเมืองเก่า Workshop - ตักบาตรเช้าริมโขง - จุดเทียนรับโชคลาภ และนั่งสมาธิ ณ พระบรมธาตุอาทิตต้นแก้ว กิจกรรมสายมู ถูกใจผมสุดๆ อาหารเช้าเสิร์ฟที่ เวียงเหนือ Café & Restaurant บ้านไม้สีเข้มที่ผสานล้านนากับความโมเดิร์นแบบสวยพอดี อาหารเช้าเป็น a la carte มีทั้งข้าวซอย ขนมจีนน้ำเงี้ยว ข้าวต้ม เซ็ตอาหารเหนือ รวมถึงแพนเค้ก น้ำผลไม้คั้นสด และกาแฟดริป บรรยากาศตอนเช้าดีมาก แสงแดดลอดใบไม้คือสวยจนอยากนั่งยาวๆ ส่วนมื้ออื่นก็มีทั้งอาหารเหนือแท้ อาหารไทย อาหารอินเตอร์ ไปจนถึงชา กาแฟ และเบเกอรี่ ทุกเมนูใช้วัตถุดิบสดใหม่ รสชาติดี และจัดจานสวย คุณไม่พักก็แวะมาทานได้ สิ่งที่ผมชอบที่สุดคือบรรยากาศโดยรวม ทั้งความเรียบง่าย ความตั้งใจในทุกดีเทล เข้าใจเลยว่าทำไมที่นี่ถึงได้รางวัลมาเรื่อยๆ สำหรับผม Athita The Hidden Court ไม่ได้เป็นแค่โรงแรม แต่เป็นเหมือนพื้นที่พักใจกลางเมืองเก่า ที่เราปล่อยตัวเองให้สงบได้เต็มที่ เป็นอีกหนึ่งที่พักที่อยากกลับมาอีกแน่นอนครับ

I stayed one night for business but the Villa was excellent. Villa has a kitchen, living, pool and 2 separate bedrooms. I will definitely come back.

Parking is convenient. We paid extra to upgrade to a two-bedroom villa at the store. The price is reasonable and worth it. The breakfast tastes great. It is a ten-minute drive from the Golden Triangle Scenic Area and has convenient transportation.
