Siam Guesthouse in Kanchanaburi City

If you like bars with loud music, restaurants and as a single man going to "naughty" bars, then it is a good location. But, if you want to have a good sleep, it is a very bad location. I have got a room located towards the main strait. Music from the bars and traffic noise day and night (traffic stops around 3 am and starts at 5 am again). Get up early to make a trip to the Waterfalls not possible because you're too tired and take an extra sleep. Even getting early to the Kwai Bridge is impossible: when I arrived there, already a lot of people were there and a good photo is impossible to make with that crowd.
The room is spacious, the bathroom is bigger than normal hotels have. Only an unpleasant odor coming from the bathroom. Again, the door of the bathroom cannot be locked (luckily am I alone). It looks that this is a common feature of hotels to give single people a bathroom that cannot be locked, as I also had in Laos.
There is no closet where you can put your belongings. It is a very basic hotel. Before entering the hotel you have to take your shoes off and put it outside, right at the brim of the fish pound. I was afraid that my shoes splash into the water.
The room was cleaned a day before I left to Bangkok.

It's quite easy to find. It's a B&B style. The room is relatively clean. I told the service staff that there were ants at first, and then they took care of them, and then they disappeared.
