A lovely guesthouse in a quiet neighbourhood and great location, close to central temples and tourist attractions. The room was spacious and clean with a tv, mini fridge and air con. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay here.

Nestled amongst the bucolic shadows of downtown Nan, the Chic Inn transliterates into Thai as “the chicken.” Intrigued by both the local pronunciation and meticulously florid yet oddly Byzantine décor, it was only upon check-in that it’s more likely nature was revealed as being perhaps a “chick inn...” Overall great value, what it lacks in amenities like shampoo and soap, it makes up for in ambience that even includes an outdoor patio overlooking a lovely rice field with occasional baying and cuckooing.

My partner and I stayed here for a few nights during the boat racing festival and we really enjoyed it. Our room was pleasant and everything was really clean.
The rooftop area was quite special and a great place to enjoy a coffee in the morning or a beer in the evening.

Well run, clean guest house in the old town of Nan. Selection of rooms, dorm or private with or without bathrooms. Good location and friendly, accommodating staff.

Friendly staff, really nice location for backpackers. Not too tidy but a very lovely place. The roof terrace and the cafe are awesome. You can rent bicycles which are perfect to scout the town and explore the Wats and food courts.

Clean and basic rooms. Stayed in a room with aircon and the location is in a quiet area so I could have a good night sleep, i.e. no barking dogs, traffic noice. Very helpful and friendly staff. The WIFI was reliable and fast compared to other hotels I had stayed at. The location is very convenient, near the night bazar, temples, cheap food stalls, 7/11 and clinic.

400 baht for a fan room with outside bathroom in rural Thailand is not a bargain. However, in this case, I think it's worth it due to location location location. Eight minute walk to Wat Phumin, Nan 'Museum', and Tourist Info. You can rent a bicycle until evening every day for FREE with a copy of your passport at DASTA, the purple house.
Coffee and tea in the morning at reception. A rooftop terrace with tables. If you get a fan room in the old house, you can lock the old wooden shutters from left to right and keep out the morning sun.
Cash only I believe? 450 online, 400 walk in for fan room with outside toilet. 600ish for ensuite. I did see a micro-fridge in the more expensive room.
Oh, and yes, the mattress is not 'Asian hard'.

Looks nothing like the photos. Owner also neglected to tell me that the fan rooms are shared bathrooms until after I paid. The rooms are old and tired looking. The walls are thin and you can clearly hear everything outside and in the adjoining rooms. There are mosquitos in the room.
So basically for 400 baht it is terrible value. Nothing to recommend about this place.

Really relaxed and quiet. Aircon room was clean and comfortable. Location was close to many things. Good basic room in well maintained tradional wood home with addition. The top deck very much enjoyable cozy hang out spot. Free water & coffee available. The staff was friendly & nice. Nan & it's people are pleasant to visit. Off the beaten path. I didn't want to leave. Will stay again next time in Nan. Thank you!
