Luang Poj Boutique Hostel in Ranong City

This place looks nice. It has cute decor, if you like the style. But 600b for a room with no AC and shared bathroom is daylight robbery. The staff are not too friendly. There is no breakfast. You get a room with only a bed and a mirror, and a hook on the wall. There were 2 sinks (there was a 3rd but it's broken) 2 toilets and 3 showers for up to 16 guests. The showers were cold. After some time i got lukewarm water out of one of them and the boy on the desk said the others didn't work! So 600b for a cold shared shower and to wait for the toilet is a lot to pay. The internet was very patchy & they turned the faster connection off after a few hours of our arrival! Half the building is derelict eith a leaking roof! There are similar standard hotels on the same street for 200-400b WITH bathroom! You are only paying for a paint job. It was mouldy and there are signs in reception nd on the room door saying if you get anything on the sheets or duvet etc they will change you up to 1000b, which isnt very welcoming. Little english is spoken but they do try. Its very noisy, with loud noise from the street and i couldnt sleep as the guy in reception under our room was singing and playing guitar until nearly midnight. Only 2 of the 8 rooms have windows (with no glass) and they resemble prison cells.
