Staff is smiling and helpful, property is quaint, clean, w great location and good bikes. Highly reccomend this place as an alternative to touristy hotels.

Wonderful reatreat
What a lovely place to stay. Location was excellent, quiet, and convenient. Breakfast was delicious, Kwan was super helpful with helping us book a car the day we needed to leave. Highly recommend

It was a family-run, homey guesthouse with a kind owner and children. It was close to the historical park and they provided free bicycle rentals, making it very easy to get around. The free breakfast was delicious, the interior was stylish, and it was a good value for the price. However, please note that the bath is shared and the water pressure is weak (hot water was available), and toothbrushes are not provided.

I really enjoyed my stay. The room was clean, we had a Japanese style room, if you can call it that: mattresses on the floor, a clothes rack, a table. Windows without glass, with doors, this is an interesting detail. The common areas are very clean. Breakfast is good on the veranda. The hostess and the children who live in the house are very nice people.

Great location just off the main road, quick access to the market and historical park. Owner is very kind and helpful and food is delicious.

Owner and staff took good care of guests. Quiet, peaceful place and walking distance to historical park.

The location is excellent, making it very convenient to get to the park. The room was clean, and the staff provided great service. The room itself was quite spacious. For breakfast, there are multiple options, so you're sure to find something you like, and the portion sizes are decent. Plus, you can have unlimited bread.

Pros: 1. Location: 2 mins to the main road. 7 mins to the historical park. There are 711 and many restaurants around. 2. Our room is newly renovated: Modern, Spacious, get separation of shower and toilet , get a 55 inch big smart TV. 3. Breakfast: Freshly cook everyday. 4. Service: friendly and helpful. Cons: 1. More lighting is needed for the room. 2. Sometimes it is quite difficult to distinguish who's the staff of the guesthouse, and staff is not always avaliable. 3. I booked a taxi to the airport through the guesthouse and it is quite pricy (1000 baht). Call a grab instead.

Arriving at the Smilingface Guesthouse in Sukhothai, I looked at the room before checking in. The smell was pungent. Apparently it had just been renovated and there was no way it could be accommodated. The front desk also said that this room has just been renovated and will only open today. We asked for a refund, but the hotel said it was a non-cancellable reservation and would not allow a refund. What is the logic of selling your hotel rooms online if they are not up to standard, harming the health of customers, and not being able to provide refunds! Is this the Smiling Face Hotel or the Smiling Hotel? Is it the will of the Buddha to make unconscionable money without giving a refund? The Buddha knew about it, but he didn’t agree!
