We stayed at Dhafra Beach Hotel during our road trip from Muscat to Riyadh, choosing it mainly because it sits roughly halfway between the two cities. For that purpose, it worked well.
The hotel itself is small and seems to cater mostly to oil and gas workers in the area. There’s nothing particularly special or luxurious about the place, but it does offer all the basic necessities, and everything was clean and well maintained. One nice highlight is the beach — it’s quiet, accessible, and surprisingly clean, which made for a pleasant break after a long drive.
Overall, Dhafra Beach Hotel is a simple, practical stopover. If you’re passing through and just need a clean place to rest with a decent beach nearby, it does the job.
