We accidentally pulled into the valet parking lot and one of the valets started screaming at us to get out of the lot and wanted us to back out into traffic. He told us the lot was full and to get out and park in the regular lot down the street. Once we were parked in the right place and had walked back to the hotel, the rest of the staff was great. We didn’t appreciate the rudeness of the valet.

We were given a room that had not been updated and then charged a resort fee. It was not very resort-y.

The history and location is amazing though. Very convenient place to stay to visit Hot Springs.

Honestly, just DON’T… the Arlington has lived past its hey day and still holding on for dear life. First room paint peeling everywhere, dirt, rust, mold and mildew. Called to complain, offered me an “upgrade” to a suite. Gave me the same kind of room in the same situation. TERRIBLE.. TERRIBLE.. TERRIBLE. Did I mention how terrible it is?!?!?

Another great stay in a wonderful atmosphere. Love the location and the nostalgia.

Hotel is beautiful in the public areas. Staff was wonderful. Night entertainment was great. When we first got there our room was awful. Stained carpet, ratty furniture not overly clean. But when front desk was called they found us a better room. So this was good. The new rom was way better but you could see if my was basically worn out. But it was clean so we said great. Once they get all the renovations done it will back to it beautiful standards.

STRAIGHT TO JAIL! Shut it down. We booked two nights here. Upon walking up to our room, we were in disbelief, we were shook! The hallways were covered in debris from the construction crew workers, the walls were peeling and the carpets were so dusty. When I was able to find my room, I noticed the door was cracked as if someone had kicked their way in the room. It immediately felt very unsafe. Upon entering the room, I noticed dust in the AC vent and the ceiling fan was so wobbly I thought it was about to fall off the ceiling. The room was very hot as the AC was not working. The ceiling was wet and peeling, and had mold. The curtains were stained with blood, the chair is too much to describe. I still have ptsd from the condition of the room. Historic does not mean dirty and unkept. I have no words for the carpet, just wow. I walked out and requested a refund. The front desk refunded the second night but charged me the first night even tho I didn’t stay even 10 minutes in the room. It is unacceptable. Don’t book here. I left to the holiday inn which was 15 minute drive and was happy. I travel a lot and understand that places have flaws but this was just too much to handle. I am still in disbelief. $150 down the drain for 1 night.

Very disappointed and one night was too long to stay here. I do NOT recommend.

I thought it would be fun to stay in this grand historic hotel, it’s not. The common areas on the main floor are quite nice, the rest of the hotel is like stepping back in time and not entirely unpleasant until you go into your room. Between the unclean bathroom, the difficult room lock, dust, and the young cockroach that ran across my hand as I closed the fridge, was enough to make me vow to NEVER return. Thankfully we were already leaving when the cockroach appeared.

Front desk made a point to tell us how good of a deal we got for paying $150 (including a resort free). I assure you dear reader, we overpaid.

The restaurant food was eh. The salad has several rotten pieces of arugula, discovered by my mouth first - did not complain just stopped eating it. The service was terrible. I had to go to the server station to get refills because our waitress disappeared after taking our order. She continued to ignore us despite seeing me returning from the server station with refilled water glasses.

Unless you want a pet cockroach don’t stay here.

We stayed at the Arlington Hotel in Hot Springs, Arkansas on Christmas, 12/25–12/26, and were genuinely excited to experience such a historic hotel. Unfortunately, our stay was very disappointing.
As soon as we walked into the room, the condition was unacceptable. The carpet had visible holes, there were dead bugs along the baseboards, and the bathroom was dingy and dirty—especially in the corners. The bathtub had rust in multiple areas and appeared poorly maintained overall. The room was clearly in need of significant renovation and upkeep.
Given the condition of the room, it was not worth the price we paid. We ended up not staying for our second night due to how uncomfortable and unclean the room felt, and we were not refunded for that night.
It’s disappointing because the hotel has such a rich history and great potential, but our experience did not live up to expectations, especially for a holiday stay.

Been staying for years, but the prices have gotten too high to justify staying in what amounts to a tiny, outdated, frankly mediocre room. The service at the Arlington is outstanding, the history is neat and being downtown is fun. It used to be a very fair price for a neat stay, and the nature of it being a historical hotel made certain things understandable, but at $90(minimum a night + $15 resort fee (For what?) + 14% tax +$50 incidental (I know it comes back, but never trust a company to not try and screw you over) it's just not worth it. I was willing to overlook that when we stayed last year we stayed the gym was closed, the breakfast buffet was mostly cereal with a waffle maker, and Sysco frozen breakfast meats, and that the bars hours were changed seemingly randomly. Grab a spot at any of the bed and breakfasts nearby and just get a drink in the lobby bar, corporate greed ruined this place

We rented the suite. It was very big room but really had nothing in it. It does have a mini fridge but that's it. The bathtub was long and narrow and pretty dirty. The carpets were very old and dirty looking as well. The beds looked very clean and were okay. The TV's were basic. Not many places to plug in. I've stayed at cheaper hotels with better rooms. It was very quiet and roomy though. There was no parking and we had to park really far and walk to and from. U can pay for someone to bring your luggage to your room and pay for closer parking. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Id say don't pay extra for the special rooms because they're not that great for the price. The place is very beautiful itself. There was a lot of history surrounding the place. Very interesting
