Mariotts are always a pleasure to stay at, and this one was special given its great location close to the beach. The rooms were premium, and had extremely well done interior decor. Matt at the front desk made our vacation stay enjoyable with his great customer service. My family had a great time, location is great to venture around the surrounding cities. Rooms could use some updating and maybe just a bit cleaner. The buffet is definitely NOT worth it...you've been warned, for the price it does not justify the food options.
The Annual Dinner meeting for 200 guests was very well arranged except for the sound system l. We couldn't understand the speakers. The food was good for hotel food and the service unobtrusive. I would definitely recommend that we return here next year.
There is a small platform to watch the sea

The check in service personnel was extremely helpful & thorough. There was cement being poured in the parking lot but will be super nice when it dries.

All of the staff were very helpful and friendly. A bit out dated, in the middle of upgrading property, most importantly was the cleanliness of the room and premises. The furniture in the room we stayed in was comfy, clean & noisy. I would recommend this property, as well as stay here again once the renovations are done.
The staff was super attentive and friendly. Really great location with an In N Out Burger right next door!
My biggest issue was that there is a carwash directly across the street from the hotel that seemed to run all night, and was very noisy. Even when the car wash was quiet there was a lot of noise from people walking by outside. I think they just need better soundproofing in the walls! The main beds were ok, but the couch and chairs were old and saggy and the pullout couch was bad, even given the low...
Solid stay despite construction We were surprised upon arrival to find the front doors blocked off with a sign saying to go around the building - turned out the lobby was under construction and the front desk was in a room on the first floor. The breakfast included with the room was therefore changed to a "grab and go" bag or a voucher to a fast food place a few doors down. We were a little miffed...

We were in town to attend our granddaughters engagement party, the Amanzi was within 10 mins of the party location. Breakfast on both days was fresh and everything was available.
This hotel experience was perfect. Our room was huge, had a great layout and balcony. There was a furnace we could turn on that mimicked a fireplace. This was a great touch. Breakfast was excellent and we took more food to use as lunch while on the Channel Islands. The only downside for this hotel is that it is right next to I-101. You can hear it all night long.
This hotel has balconies and view. You can actually sleep with fresh air in the room. Rare luxury in new hotels. Now, ALWAYS friendly staff ( I’m lucky to be checked in by Brandon) Friendly attitude made my staying even better! I love to stay here when in area.
We had a great weekend! The hotel was a great spot, beautiful views, and grateful for a hot cup of coffee with a hot meal every morning. My partner and I felt comfortable and were treated with respect. We will be back.
I think the construction may be finished or almost final? Came over the 4th of July weekend and there were no scaffolds. Pool was open. Breakfast was provided and happy hour (beer, wine and wings) from 5-7pm. 7 min walk to the beach and shorter distance to get to a restaurant and downtown. Great location.
The room is nice, clean and tidy, the service is very friendly, I can feel the beautiful scenery through the window during a hurried business trip, it is worth recommending, sleepy😪💥💥💥

I always enjoy my stay at the Viking. Cleanest motel rooms I've seen in a long time. Management it's very polite.
Such a cute place! The outside of the motel was so inviting, lots of flowers, murals, and a water feature, so well maintained! Everyone was extremely welcoming and friendly! Rooms are spacious, clean, renovated, and even a full kitchen! Absolutely love and recommend this motel!
Ventura itself is facing a huge homeless and drug problem, so check the place out in person before booking. But that being said, the property itself was fine inside and the guy who worked the front was accommodating and nice (which is uncommon for budget hotels / motels)
This place is the 5 star of the budget class Motel ... Almost every room has a decent size kitchen with sove and oven ... Full size fridge and freezer .... It's really affordable and super clean. The staff is actually nice a d cordial ... Parking it kinda tight but it's centrally located and not Manny rooms so book it early if your planning a trip.
The shower was seriously THE BEST shower I've ever used in a hotel or at a resort. The kitchen was clean and beautifully remodeled. The owner was so friendly and genuine. I would definitely recommend this especially for people traveling with kids or if you are like us and like to bring/prepare your own food. I was concerned that there would be road noise at night but you could have heard a pin drop...
Great,cheap motel. The staff was so nice and accommodating. The rooms were very clean. Comfortable bed and great water pressure. Thee kitchen was very nice sparce utensils but enough for 2 to cook some basic stuff. Overall one of the best motels I've stayed at for the price.
