Great location if you plan to visit Volcanos National Park
Susan's breakfasts were a great way to start each morning. The menu was varied. One morning we ate macadamia nut pancakes and Friday morning we ate omelettes. In the background, Hawaiian music played while we ate.
The location of the B&B was convenient to drive to HAVO and to walk to Lanikai Brewing Company for dinner.
This was my first bed & breakfast experience, so I don't know how it compares to others, but the sound proofing between rooms is less than what I am used to in hotels. Fortunately, all the guests followed the quiet hours, so it wasn't an issue. I spent four nights there and would do it again. We used it as our home base for thoroughly exploring Volcano National Park and the southern end of the big island.
