Oakfield Hotel & Suites, Ascend Collection, Rochester-Pittsford NY in Rochester

Honestly, I don’t know what the fuss is over this hotel. I concur there was No elevator, (but we knew that), thin walls and noise from the highway, (but we sleep like the dead) and not a warm breakfast (had cereal, yogurt, fruit and granola bars). But The bed and pillows were amazing, the TV big and easy to use and we Loved the cool floors. The front desk guy was great and there were signs everywhere about taking care of customers. The price we paid was low so we didn’t expect the Ritz. I would stay here again.

I can't say enough positive things about the staff. They're great. The hotel is newly renovated. Our room was clean and spacious and setup like a 3-room apartment with an industrial vibe to include polished concrete floors and exposed Edison bulb lighting. Bed was comfy. Water pressure good. Plenty of room for a family stay but there's NO DRESSER anywhere. Yes, there is a small closet with 4 hangers but not sufficient space for our things. Also, the TVs need a more user friendly way to operate them. We never did get them to work. Those things are important to me and for those reasons, I won't be back.

We are a contractor doing work in the area for a significant extended stay, and we needed a reasonably priced location with numerous rooms for our field crew cycling in and out during the work weeks. Not only do the rooms have all the basic amenities my crew needs when staying out of town long-term, but it could not be easier and more pleasant dealing with the manager and front desk. I can call them same-day and add an additional room if I have an extra crew member staying for a night. Staffing is hard these days, especially at hotels, but we have been so warmly greeted and taken care of, and their team knows us by name. They always do their very best to accommodate us. That is something you cannot find these days! To top it off, their rates are some of the best we've seen in any of the many cities our company works in, and their matching amenities (like free parking, wifi, and breakfast) only enhance that value. We would definitely choose the Clarion Pointe in Rochester if we have another project in the area again.

Very close to URochester. Reasonable price and was able to change room from single bed to two beds at no charge at check-in when I had extra family member join me on trip. Great front desk help. Will have to figure out the Room cast app on TV next time. Room had a cool industrial feel/theme. Only negative was that the free breakfast only consisted of fruit, muffins and pastry. Knew in advance so was able to bring box of cereal for Celiac member of party.

They dont have an elevator which sucks for anyone with a lot of luggage. The hotel itself is pretty cool. Shiny cool floors instead of carpet, gives a nice touch.

Great hotel. We forgot a bag when we checked out and they called us immediately to come get it. Great customer service!
