Good location. Nice views of the river, from the window. The fire alarm shout after having bath. I didn’t like paying for parking 15$. Also at night there was not enough parking space. Only 3 tables at the breakfast room so you have to wait in order to find an empty table. Poor breakfast. I barely found something to eat. Not worth staying there again.

I recently stayed at this Best Western and had a mixed experience. While the staff was friendly, there were quite a few issues that impacted my stay.
Firstly, the breakfast area was under renovation, and unfortunately, the appliances were not working, which meant that the eggs, sausage, and potatoes were cold. The area was also quite hot and crowded.
In the room, I encountered several maintenance issues: the door opener was broken, the internet was slow, the bathroom vent was not working, and the coffee machine was leaking and dripping on the floor. I did inform the reception, but the response was not prompt.
Overall, while the location was convenient, the condition of the facilities definitely needs some attention.

room was clean and the view of the river was awesome. the food was cooked fresh every day and the lady that prepared oit was very friendy andhelpful. the furniture in the room needs updated and the doors (bath room and closet needs attention). however it was a pleasant stay and we will be back. nice locatipon r howell

Amazing room, very clean (literally looked like we were the first people to stay there), responsive staff, and loved the sound of the ocean while we slept.

Great location with easy access to nearby attractions. The rooms were clean and well maintained, the staff was courteous and helpful, and the breakfast was excellent. Overall, a comfortable and pleasant stay.

Best Western and Best Western Plus hotels are solid, reliable, and good value mid-range options with friendly staff and included perks like breakfast and Wi-Fi. They’re not on par with traditional five-star luxury brands, but if you’re booking for comfort, convenience, and value, they deliver — as long as you manage your expectations around luxury finishings and consistency across properties.

We arrived at 4 and was promptly checked in by the most pleasant and professional personnel. The room was a little “dated” but clean and totally comfortable for our needs. Renovations looked to have been rather recent. But the room was very clean. The view to the river was nice as well. We slept in and missed the breakfast but it’s nice to know it was available if needed. Great stay at what I felt was a very fair price for both BW as vendor and myself as a customer. 9/10. Would and have recommended this exact location to friends, family, and business associates. The room isn’t going to be on any episodes of exotic hotels. But for a place to unpack, shower, and sleep it was perfect.

But in the room- a couple paper thin blankets if you can even call them that-So no comforter to keep warm, I had to ask for an extra paper thin blanket at the front desk and double it up. The pillows are about 8 in thick-You can't possibly sleep on that unless you want to sore neck in the morning. I did go to the front desk and she let me find an old one in the back that was thinner.
No batteries in the remote for the TV so I couldn't use that, so I picked up the phone to call the front desk but the phone didn't work.
Also, the people next door were kind of noisy I could hear them when I was getting ready for bed, and their movement in the room next door kind of moved my bed and headboard which made it difficult to go to sleep.

Convenient to much of downtown Wilmington along with the waterfront, Beautiful views from the rooms of the Cape Fear river. Parking is very limited and the rooms, mainly bathrooms, could use a deep cleaning. Otherwise, we love staying at this Beat Western for its overall convenience to Live Oak Pavilion and downtown Wilmington.
