1⭐ Review for Courtyard by Marriott Myrtle Beach Broadway

Very disappointed with this stay, especially considering the room was about $300 per night.

The bathroom door was broken and wouldn’t close, which is unacceptable for a hotel at this price. The room also felt dirty, like it had only been lightly cleaned and things were just pushed under the beds instead of properly cleaned.

The bathtub didn’t drain correctly, so water would just sit there and we literally had to push the water toward the drain with our feet, which was strange and frustrating.

The bed squeaked loudly every time you moved, making it hard to sleep. Our room was also located right next to a main door that slammed extremely loud every time someone used it, so there was constant noise.

We also had a baby with us, and the door slamming kept waking the baby up, which made the night even more difficult.

Even the outside areas looked poorly maintained, with cigarette butts everywhere, which didn’t give a great impression.

For $300 a night, I expected a clean, well-maintained, and quiet room. Unfortunately, this stay was not worth the price at all.

When hotel is at capacity, the hot water heater cannot keep up at all. From talking to staff members, this is a common occurrence. Letting the water run longer as suggested by the front desk, does not help. They said maintenance would be in the next morning, but they would not release us from the rest of our reservation to go elsewhere with warm water. No compensation offered, just and “it happens”. Staff was polite, just no solutions. Per SC DHEC, a hotel is to have warm water. If not, you need to lower what is considered capacity. Location is convenient to the convention center.

Ok hotel in Myrtle Beach. You will need a car to get around because of the location, which is a bit off. Otherwise, I have no complaints.

We did not breakfast at the hotel. The staff is friendly. The property is within walking distance to Broadway at the beach. The room was clean and of good size.

Staff was friendly and quite helpful. Room was clean. If anyone was in the hall, it was a little noisy, but I would stay again.

While it’s in a great location, this hotel is a disgrace to the Courtyard name. The rooms may look nice in their pictures, but it does not tell the truth. Upon arrival to the hotel, it was very pleasant to unload our luggage beneath a person smoking on the balcony above. I asked if there were any complimentary waters, but was told to use the water fountain. They used to, but not any more, I was told.

The room was perhaps the dirtiest Marriott I’ve ever stayed in. While the beds were clean, the floor and tabletops were covered in random crumbs, dirt, and other stuck on debris. The Bible was growing some sort of mold on it, and the balcony door was in a total state of disrepair. Additionally, the mini fridge was broken, the 3 small pillows were lousy, and the wall mounted thermostat was broken.

The bathroom was definitely not renovated. A dirty toilet seat, some mold in the shower, very worn curtain, and curtain rod that was coming off the wall were just some of the issues encountered. The curtain kept slipping down due to the slope of the rod, very annoying.

There were just so many issues with this place that I simply cannot recommend it. While it claims a 2022 renovation, there is no way that the whole room was redone. There are plenty of other hotels to choose from in this area, including other Marriotts, but please don’t pick this place or you will be disappointed.

Room was okay, clean but nobody was staying there, i would think they would give us better room. Nope it was corner room where u could hear it all. staff was okay as well.

This hotel has a fantastic location, within walking distance of Broadway Entertainment Plaza, and the seafood restaurant next door is also delicious. The hotel staff are very nice, the rooms are large and comfortable, and I originally booked two nights and was so happy that I booked two more. Highly recommended!
